Nah, but every time he posts "U" instead of "you" I'll delete his posts. No text talk. TC rules. He'll learn
-
Silly Neil. No text talk - them's the rules. tsk tsk tsk.
-
Ahhh - EBay. Don't use it myself and never would. Was actually on a car forum last night that bans links to EBay items for sale. Not a bad idea, IMO.
-
Right - you got your off-topic forum.
Please try and keep the other one for on-topic Trials stuff - if stuff in there wanders off topic it'll be moved here.
This is the place for the lighter-hearted side such as the tale about Ringo, the gimp mask, the ostrich feather and the large tub of axle grease
Normal forum rules apply and if Arnie's buddy starts on the NATC, I wanna know.
Have a nice day

Dougie P: I'd agree that the search functionality is on the weak side. It's the only thing about this forum package I'm not totally satisfied with. There is a new version out which I've got installed on my test site, but not had a chance to fully investigate yet. Hopefully it will be improved in that.
Neonsurge: The Wiki is installed. Again, I've just not had time to familiarise myself with it or customise it. You have PM on that.
Scorpa3: I found a mod for the forums that allows FAQ functionality, but it would be either Wiki or FAQ - no point in having both. I'd prefer to give the Wiki a try first if people are prepared to contribute to it. It offer a far wider range of possibilities.
As for the general standard in the forums, I think it's spot on. I post on some that make me cringe with some of the bollocks people spout and as for the amount of people that use text talk on forums - drives me bloody mad! Take them out and shoot them for being too stupid to own a computer, IMO
-
Totally agree. Not much more I can say.
-
I'm probably going to go with "The Muppet Show". It seems apt
-
Reasons don't matter - the fact he did makes it open season at any possible opportunity
-
Nice reply that probably sums up a lot of the questions raised - and thanks for the compliments.
-
I think the forthcoming addition of Mr. Rapley to the site will prompt a few out of the woodwork!
-
Yup. Last clip in this article
-
No - just a shot across the bows.

We don't pick up on everything and don't have time to keep tabs on all that goes on so your help in a bit of policing would be appreciated. If a certain individual says a single bad word about the NATC or Wiltz Wagner on these forums please click the "Report" button below the post to bring it to our attention.
I did mention an alternative forum for you guys for some of the more crazy stuff you talk about that tends to go WAY off topic....cough....ringo....cough as there was a fair bit of light-hearted banter in the forum that shall not be mentioned If you want it speak up, but it won't bear anyone's name and the same will apply as mentioned above. A few names were suggested - Bingo's Bull was ruled out. The Looney Bin is probably a bit un-PC these days, despite being totally appropriate! I liked Cabin No. 5 but it won't mean much to many (though that may be a good thing as curiosity gets the better of people and they need to find out!)

I don't think I can express how pleased I am about having Mike on board. I think it will add a whole new dimension to a hobby website that has already grown WAY beyond what I ever expected it to.
We're in the process of altering the front page layout so his articles are easily located. All I can say is check back next weekend. Can't wait to see what he has to say!
-
Sorry to go a bit off-topic, but I couldn't resist
-
Why did that make me cross my legs?
-
Clicky link
A potential Trials Central advertiser if I ever find time to get back to him.

I'm too pleased and excited by this to keep it a secret.
It started off as an innocent comment I made in the YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE Topic suggesting that Mike Rapley would be more than welcome should he ever decide to write for Trials Central. I meant that, but never really expected anything to come of it.
Well, since then, things have kind of snowballed and after several dozen emails and a long phone conversation, I am absolutely delighted to announce that Mike has decided to make the move to the world of online Trials journalism and join Trials Central as a regular contributor with his own weekly column on the front page of the site and sponsored by one of the most respected names in UK Trials.
Many of you in the UK will know Mike either as an active rider and organiser of Trials or, more likely, through his Trials journalism in several well-known printed publications. You may not always agree with the words he writes, but few who have seen his work would deny they find his columns a compulsive read.
For those who don't know Mike, and in particular our overseas readers, I think you're in for a treat.
One thing I've always thought the site lacked was good editorial content giving opinion rather than just reporting facts. I've done it a few times mostly venting off about either Octagon Esedos or British Airways! and the stories go down well, but it's not something that comes naturally to me. I see having Mike on board as one of the most valuable additions to Trials Central ever.
He doesn't want to hang about so I think we'll see something up on the front page next Sunday - 4th February.
Welcome aboard Mike - delighted to have you as part of the numero uno for Trials on T'Internet.
-
What version?
I got your email, but got a lot on just now and not had a chance to look at it.
-
Well Kinell has obviously heard something. I reckon Ishy's bought it.
-
You planning on getting that far?
-
Envelopes found and ordered. Still classed as "Large envelope" for new postal rates. No way round it due to size of stickers (I can safely blame Perce for that one!). Stickers sat here, address labels printed. This weekend if envelopes turn up in time.

If only you'd seen Jake and I on the scooter at the TdN. Makes them look like a couple of pussies - seriously. I was scared s***less, but at full pelt up a hill with the smell of burning clutch in your nostrils and a guy who forgets he's Dougie's manager, not Dougie himself at the wheel, what can you do? Great fun
-
Not if you lock the topic he won't
Unlocked and seperate topic merged with this one - I think!
