  1. I don't want you to think I've ignored this topic so... I've got to know the FIM Trials guys well and it's a relationship I want to continue and to grow. As such, I don't think it's my place to comment. Things have been talked about when I've been present, but I don't think it's right for me to publicise them. We very often stay in the same hotels and I don't want them thinking they have to watch what they say because I'm there - what happens on the road, stays on the road. Trials Central policy. I'd suggest you contact the FIM directly. Sorry, but I don't want to spoil a good relationship and the trust I currently enjoy with them.
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at TTC didn't we have the same observers observing different riders riding under different rules? AMA rules and WTC rules? Could be wrong, but I seem to recall it being flagged as a potential for major mistakes.
  3. Not that you're biased Stu To put it to bed once and for all - Ron was tight on his marking. Perhaps more tight than you'd see at most world rounds, but the FIM delegate determined he was correct and (for those who are site supporters) it can easily be seen by my video of Cabestany that he accepted the decision. Yes, he questioned it, but it was for a couple of seconds and he moved on. This was the last section of the day. Fujinami won by ONE point over Raga and TWO points over Cabestany. Believe me, if Cabestany thought that decision was wrong in any way and could have made the difference between third and first he'd have brought the house down... It was hard marking, but by the rules.
  4. Jordi wasn't riding because his mum was unwell. He was still on a standby flight right up till the last minute. Disappointing, yes, but totally understandable. As for Amos and his "where is the money?" that is just typical Amos - joking and messing around. Bear in mind there were a similar number there on Saturday last year. People will go regardless to pick their viewing spots for Sunday, to get autographs, browse the traders, watch practice etc etc. The mini-masters was a bonus over and above last year. I had some insight into the hassles and the bulk of it was down to one or two local residents. The only police involvement I am aware of is with someone who got a*sey on the campsite. Of course, with the Trial rumour mill this has no doubt got to the riot shields, water cannon and tear gas stage
  5. Competition ain't closed yet!
  6. I'll get meself close enough and wing it from there!
  7. I had video, but it looks like somehow the tape got rewound and overwritten by Sunday's stuff I've got some photos, but they're not that great as I forgot the flashgun.
  8. Wrong! An MP3 CD is actually a data CD full of MP3 files - hence an MP3 CD. Just copying the MP3s to a CD using Nero or whatever should work just fine.
  9. It was indeed - or as I told him - "From now on you shall be known as 'Ron The B*****D'"
  10. I didn't see what happened with Laia at Section 15, but I know she got yellow carded. She came to the press office later to protest and was backed up by one of the photographers that she was polite when asking. Anybody see what happened?
  11. I was en route to Hawkstone. Any clues as to what brought this on? "Most users ever online was 199 on Jul 28 2006, 10:45 AM"
  12. This has been covered before. See this topic

  14. Boris - that is a great photo of Dibs and one I must show Michele (his minder to the right screaming as only an Italian could!)
  15. Agreed. Pretty daunting to take on an event like that with such a massive crowd and such formidable opponents. A respectable result and one to tell the grandkids about!

  17. Because Jake & I travel to all the world rounds we see it time and time again so know the frustration of having guys in there who are purely there for a freebie. There was one guy I saw this weekend. Foreign dude, no camera, no interest other than being at the front and that's typical of what you see. Jake, unfortunately, is too busy at Hawkstone to control who gets press passes and who doesn't so it's passed to a third party who doesn't regularly do Trials or know who are genuine mainstream press and who are not. I might ask him to delegate this to me next year. I'd bloody make sure there was no freeloading.
  18. First success of the advertising Welcome! They're a friendly bunch on here overall. A novices forum doesn't exist as such, but just post your questions somewhere reasonably relevant (probably UK Trials Talk) and somebody will almost certainly be able to answer them
  19. 41 - Daniel Gibert - Montesa 42 - Laia Sanz - Montesa 43 - Francesco Iolitta - Sherco 44 - Michael Brown - Beta (though his minder is a liability regardless of what he's wearing!) 45 - Daniel Oliveras - Gas Gas 46 - No show 47 - Julien Arnaud - Gas Gas 48 - No show 49 - No show I think we found your rider Actually doesn't surprise me. The Italians have a very lax attitude to the whole safety thing. No press/minders corridors at the sections two years on the trot. Riders and spectators on the same route etc etc etc. Last year the section boundary markers in Italy were taut heavy rope, not tape as they should be. How to strangle a rider in one easy lesson! I did see one rider slapped with a five at section 3 on the first lap for his minder being in the section without a helmet. Don't know who it was, but they all know the rules...
  20. What a strange topic! Only time I've seen something similar was when r2w asked for some of Toni Bou's underwear - except he wanted it used You can contact Alexz directly via the "Contact" link on his website at www.alexzwigg.com
  21. 12 months. It's all automatic with immediate access. BTW, I sent that photo to your forum registered hotmail address.
  22. Slapshot - you were totally wrong, but the guys at weather.com got it spot on Seriously - you were pretty much bang on.
  23. If you are registered on the forums and then register on the supporters system with the SAME USER NAME AND PASSWORD as you use on the forums then your forum account will automatically be upgraded to Supporter status. If you register on the supporter system with a different username and password then a forum account will be created for you with Supporter status, therefore it's always best to keep the same user name and password for both. Finally, if you use the same name for the supporters system as your forum name, but use a different password then you won't be able to register. It will tell you the username is already taken. They both must match. On the sticker front - now I've got a whole month off from World Rounds (yipee!) and Hawkstone is out of the way, I'll get the sticker backlog sorted out.
