  1. Kids read this site. It's clean and will be kept that way.
  2. It's a definite as far as I'm aware. The two "flyaway" rounds will be Japan and Guatamala.
  3. You'll find some photos of riders in Section 3 taken from the very top in either the public or supporters photos (or mixed through both!) Trials Central were the proud sponsor of the awesome hillclimb of section 8. I've got shedloads of video of that, but I'm pooped. Tomorrow night for that, I think.
  4. I had laptop * internet problems yesterday. Sorted out now though (I hope!)
  5. That may be an underestimation... Right, I'm signing off. Big, long day tomorrow. See you on the dark side!
  6. It's still there - just not been added to for a while. Got loads of pics, just not had the chance to add them. Got a whole month of no world rounds coming up so maybe I'll get a chance to update it and yours might feature if they're in the right place at the right time this weekend
  7. Yes. I know this because my favourite little mutt (apart from my own dog, of course!) was there last year:
  8. Final notes for those coming to the Trials event of the year this weekend: For those who are collecting wristbands on-site who I've not communicated this to - the Trials Central area will be next to the on-site beer tent. I believe that's to be at the bottom of the camping area, but should be easily spotted regardless. We'll be there both Friday and Saturday evenings. Wristbands will be needed BOTH nights. Any spare wristbands you have then please bring them and return them to me. They're in short supply and high demand. DO NOT FORGET YOUR WRISTBANDS - replacements are not available!!! Please do not attempt to gain entry without official Trials Central wristbands. These are pink in colour. No other wristband will gain admittance. Don't put yourself in the embarrassing position of being refused or security in the embarrassing position of having to refuse you. Trials Central wristbands will not gain you admittance to any other area of the site. They are only good for the fenced-off Trials Central official area. Dress code - Dress code for this event is dinner jacket for gentlemen and evening dress for ladies (This may be a lie) Bring beer <-- important Chairs -If you want to sit down, bring them! Cool Boxes - We are desperately short of these. We will have some ice, but not plenty so any ice and/or coolboxes would be greatly appreciated. I think with things more organised this year we won't have the same problems, but please use the provided bins for all litter and empty cans/bottles. We had a fair old clean-up to do last year and with hangovers that is not a good thing to have to do Most importantly - Enjoy yourselves! I'll be there from lunchtime tomorrow. Have a safe journey to Hawkstone and I look forward to seeing you all and having a great weekend. Over and out Andy
  9. Your job - "Which exchange will I sit in today and surf t'internet?" My job - "Where am I going today? No idea. Ahhh, a postcode. That'll do." Saves me hours every week. Move with the times dammit!
  10. Set SatNav for Hawkstone to SY4 4NA. If this is totally wrong, don't blame me - I'll be using it too!
  11. I'll be there from Friday lunchtime. R2W and his mob arriving some time Friday afternoon and a few others I know of will be there.
  12. A little bird tells me the hill climb (Trials Central sponsored Section 7) may be even more spectacular than last year. You gotta be there to see it
  13. Tell me about it. I got the generator and floodlights out of the shed on Sunday and tested them. Seemed like only a few days since I'd put them in there.

    Us Gp

Nicky Hayden (Repsol Honda RC211V) won his home race for the second consecutive year here at Laguna Seca, his team-mate Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC211V) finished second and another Honda star Marco Melandri (Fortuna Honda RC211V) was third as the factory completed a clean-sweep of podium places. This was an intense race. Intense because of the heat
  16. Keep us posted on the weather for Hawkers please
  17. Previous posts by Steve Fracy, Outlaw Dave and others have confirmed this - awesome land, freedom and views. I reckon they only post these pics to make us jealous
  18. Although there is still tons to sort out everything is coming nicely together. I'm really looking forward to a great weekend. No more pre-event wristband queries please. This is now closed. For those coming - you might want to bring your own chairs otherwise you're standing all night! See you there
  19. Okay, so I've been out in the Middle East this week. Pretty hectic week, but I'd everything planned so a nice early flight back from Cairo today would see me home around 3pm in time to wind down for the weekend and get the tons of stuff I've got to get sorted for Hawkstone next weekend done. Flight was at 8:30 to Heathrow then on to Edinburgh. At 7:20 I attempted to check in at Cairo Airport with my friends at British Airways only to be told "gate closed". Huh? 1 hour 10 minutes before the flight? What's that all about? No amount of pleading, begging, threatening, arguing did any good (I wasn't alone - there were a few folk in the same position) so it was onto the phone to the American Express Travel Emergency Line (they do all our corporate travel). Cool, there's an Egypt Air flight to Heathrow at 10:30 and a BMI flight to Edinburgh I can make. However, it's too close to departure for them to book so I have to go pay myself. Brilliant, methinks -I can still get home by 6pm. Toddles off on a nightmare double bus journey to the other terminal at Cairo and into the Egypt Air office. Availability no problem, how am I paying? Company Mastercard. Transaction declined. Huh? Try again. Transaction declined. Now I know that card is NOWHERE near it's credit limit, but it kept coming back declined. I'm not a big fan of credit cards and don't have a personal one. The only one I have is the company one. They wouldn't take Maestro so I am well and truly stuffed. Back on the phone to Amex Travel. Can't help me. At this point it's 9am in Cairo so 7am in the UK. I can't get hold of anybody in our HO to check out the credit card situation till 9am UK time and phoning the card company gives me "Our business hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Please call back during those hours". I try to hide at the back of a cafe and blend in - not easy when every other bloke looks like Saddam Hussein and the women all look like Survive the 2 hours and get hold of our Travel Manager. Checks credit card and absolutely no problem with it. Of course, by now I've missed the Egypt Air flight. "Please - just get me home - I don't care how" Aha - Lufthansa via Frankfurt. Leaves at 3:30pm, few hours to kill in Frankfurt then a connection to Edinburgh. Gets me into Edinburgh at 10:50pm. That'll do! First leg fine, but a 1.5 hour delay to the Frankfurt /Edinburgh bit means I finally got home (having been up since 4:30am UK time yesterday) at 01:15 today. Of course there was not a word of apology for the delay from Lufthansa and they weren't too chuffed at me marching off the plane whilst whistling the theme tune to The Great Escape Of course if those USELESS ******* ******* ***** at BRITISH ******* ******* AIRWAYS had let me check in in the first place... ***** BTW, the one good thing that did happen today is I got an email saying BA are off our list of preferred carriers. Now I can write them the letter I've always wanted to
  20. email me as per my request in my email to you. Things are mega manic now with tons to sort out. If it's not in my Inbox then I won't remember what's been said in the forums and it won't happen.
  21. Well the trip was slightly changed and I'm currently sat in a hotel in.... Kuwait Temperature was 46C when I got here - at 6:30 last night. God knows how the troops working just across the border in Iraq put up with those kind of temperatures especially in body armour etc. Went for a little wander round the compound (yes, security is that tight) about 10pm last night and even then the wall of heat that hits you as you step outside is unbearable. Upside - air conditioning and free broadband Downside - It's a dry country. No beer On to Cairo tomorrow. They have beer there
