You can take the boy out of Essex...

No Gareth. Those were the Weightwatchers stickers

Site Supporters - I'm doing what I can to accelerate the sticker delivery and have made progress with the supplier. Basically "As soon as I get these, if I'm happy with the quality, I'll place an immediate order for helmet sized stickers." The promise of more business seemed to be pretty motivational
I did say I would contact all site supporters for their home addresses in order to ship their stickers when they were delivered. However, to minimise the delay between me getting them and you getting them, I'd like to pre-empt that so I can ship as soon as they're delivered to me - have envelopes pre-prepared etc.
Please, if you read this, send an email to supporters AT trialscentral.com with the following details:
Email Subject: TC Stickers
Forum Name: <your forum user name>
Name: <your name>
Address: <your full postal address>
This will allow me to greatly speed up the process of getting these out. Any registered site supporter who doesn't email me - don't worry! I'll work out those who have and contact those who haven't via email.
On another note, the competition stuff is coming on well. Expect something on that very soon.

I'll give it a bit of a front page plug since it won't be in TMX, but wanted to wait until mid-week so it doesn't push weekend news down off the front page too soon

I took them from a post on these forums as Y&G didn't send me them, but they were posted here as being supplied by Y&G. If they're wrong then that's a major problem. If it's just colour and text then I guess we'll survive!

I've had contact from a Trials Rider in Brazil who's moving to London and looking to buy a bike and sort out some riding in the area. 3rd in Brazilian Championship 2001-2004, got about

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT. You were never banned from Trials Central. You were banned from the forums of a previous Trials website I ran (before I saw the light) for making comments regarding lady riders and lycra that provoked a ton of complaints and also for launching a personal vendetta against a particular brand of bike. I thought we'd already cleared that one up

Also good to meet three generations of the Morphett family today - all at once!
-
Just a bit!!! Good to finally meet you.
That's me literally just in the door. Photos will come tomorrow night as I'm pooped. Can't thank Dangleebitz and family enough for allowing me to cadge a lift down in their bus

Make sure it don't clash with a world round will thi?
Edit - just checked and unless the calendar has changed, it doesn't

"EMS (2-5 days to UK and worldwide)
United States"
Shipping from the US. Might get away with customs duty, might not, but your warranty would be dodgy at best, a nightmare at worst if anything went wrong.

Thanks for your kind words

I was confused after I got an email from Barry Robinson advising it had been cancelled and went to edit the calendar to reflect the changes. The email didn't indicate it wasn't a scoring round so I was looking for a Youth A&B Champsionship round entry, but couldn't find one. I sussed it eventually, but it wasn't clear.
I had the published ACU calendar for 2006 and input all the events from that to the new Trials Central events calendar at the time I set it up. It wasn't detailed info and I had to guess a lot, but it got the main events in the calendar.
I think, moving forward and working with the ACU and guys like John Collins we can sort out the confusion and move from publishing "vague" event information to getting things pretty much spot-on. This is a new thing and it does rely very much on the Clubs involved. Some have given me updates to National/Championship events I've posted to the Calendar, most haven't. That's something I need to sort out.
One thing that is going to change is Clubs promoting events on the Calendar and then providing zero results or post-event articles on Trials Central. I don't see why they should be allowed to use Trials Central resources to promote their events and give nothing back.

No probs.
It works by these lowlife scumbags having "bots". These bots are little programs that trawl the Net looking for installations of the particular package that is behind the Classifieds. When they find one, emails are automatically generated and sent to the sellers in the hope they'll get a bite.
Unfortunately there's nothing I can do to stop it and is why there is a clear warning in red when posting an advert explaining that fraudsters target the system.

We had this conversation a while ago, but I can't find the thread. They were trying this device out at the Belgian World Round last year. The cost of this, or any other electronic device, would probably be prohibitive for most Clubs though.

I'd add a certain hairdresser from Bury to that list...
-
Further information. I'll be there to cover this. This is thanks to a little agreement that should take me to as many of the Youth Champ rounds this year as I can fit in. More on it later, but I'll be there Sunday.

Not me, but I wish it had been!

This hasn't been forgotten about. I'm talking to three different suppliers at present regarding prizes.
Personally I liked the one where it was just parts of riders (a nose, a helmet, a mouth etc) and you had to identify them. Nobody got that one totally correct)
After much to-ing and fro-ing until I got a design I was happy with (thanks to Vinnie and Ian for putting up with my fussiness!), the sticker artwork was approved and the order placed. They'll be through in around two weeks at which point I'll contact all supporters for their addresses.

"Do you want to supersize your Big Mac meal?"

I looked at the title and thought "That's a bit strong" then read the post and agree with every word you say. Do feel free to name and shame.
