He had a big crash on Sect 17 in Andorra (and I mean BIG crash). He was lucky to walk away from it.

My condolences to Stephanie's family. I remember her well from my tenure as SSDT results manager. A lovely lady, she was there, outside the results room, every night trying to bribe me for early results with confectionary products. It normally worked
-
Unlikely to become compulsory at all
-
Somebody said last week that Birks was 62.
-
Cabestany rode in 2010 and finished 9th. Helluva difference between Scotland and what the Spaniards are used to riding.
-
They sent the full factory truck from Spain to Scotland complete with mechanics. That doesn't come cheap.
This is rapidly going off topic, so going back to Mr. Lampkin:
Most SSDT wins
Youngest winner
and now we believe oldest winner too.
-
Close. It was actually decided on age of rider with Dan being the oldest.

Clickety me for pics
Think results were about 9pm last year if I recall correctly. Will get them online ASAP after I receive them
-
Pics on TC later and day one results at some point this evening

Received this as a news article, but it's not really appropriate for the news section of the site so:
I am looking for a lift home on Monday 2 from the last group of sections in the trial - presumably Lagnaha - to South Manchester or a railway station in Lancashire from where I can catch a trian to Stockport.
Obviously I'll share the cost. If you can help, please phone me asap on 07928 171429, Mike Edwards.

I've got the go-ahead to publish this year's routes on the SSDT site on Monday so the info will be there for those coming up later in the week.
-
Delighted to welcome Haven Trialsport to our list of TC Sponsors. Haven are now the go-to place for all things Jotagas/JTG in the UK (though they also deal in other brands)
Contact details are:

WEB: http://www.haventrialsport.co.uk/- Web is basic at the moment, but is being looked at.

Pick up a programme from the car park when you get there, but Pipeline is Saturday with first rider due around 10:50
-
Routes aren't being published in advance this year to encourage visitors to buy programmes (which are sold in aid of charity). I blame those tight Yorkshire folk
Monday SSDT route is similar to normal though - Leanachen in the morning and Lagnaha in the afternoon.
-
Looking at the Friday route, you'll be able to pick up sections on your way into Kinlochleven, but the odd numbered riders should have pretty much passed by noon and even numbers aren't due there until around 1:30 so, depending on when you arrive, possibly time for a spot of lunch (and pick up a programme) in Kinlochleven then head back out the south road. Some of the sections are pretty close to the roadside so are easily spotted.
-
If you're busy, just email results file to news@trialscentral.com and I'll sort the rest. That's actually easier for me too because of the way I now handle results files. They're all imported into one big database which I'll make public once I've completed backporting the 4000 or so historic results files I've got.

Some of you will know James Percival of the Richmond area. Percy hung up his boots a while back and it would be fair to say, has somewhat let himself go (ie tubster ) Now, Percy's two daughters (both student nurses) are doing the Great North Run this year to raise funds for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research) with a sponsorship target of £500.
Silly Percy has said if they can raise £1000 then he'll ride the 2016 Scott Trial, so with the power of the Interwebs I'm going all out to help them reach that target.
Any sponsorship, no matter how small will help greatly in making the fat lad suffer come October

Front page now
Generally any delay in publishing on TC is only a matter of a few hours. I'm informed when a new article is added and publish as soon as possible.
I'm not going to get into the pros and cons of Facebook, mainly because I can't think of many pros There's no doubt it's in decline though and sooner or later will go the way of MySpace, Bebo et al

A very sad and emotional day, but yes, a turnout totally befitting the man.
-
To be fair, there are 3 man made sections, the rest are natural. It was just with my scheduling yesterday, three of the four I managed to get to were man-made ones. Should be more natural ones today.
-
Second place. Raga totally failed to capitalise on the situation
-
Toni knows he has no chance of winning. He's just out to get whatever points he can today whilst trying not to make the injury any worse.
