  1. Lew's post was deleted. Firstly he used text-talk which is not allowed and secondly it was totally irrelevant and added no value to the topic.
  2. My take on Germany... One of the best rounds of the season. Certainly the most varied course I've seen this year (though I missed the initial rounds). Very well organised although not great for the press following the Trial being such a long loop and the observing was tougher than I've ever seen at any Trial. My take on some of the riders - Freixa - VERY unlucky. Rode the best I've ever seen him ride. He deserved the win. Dabill - Awesome debut. That guy is going places. Grit, determination, no fear and he believes in himself, but he's not cocky with it. Raga - Can't take it away from the guy. There was a lot of pressure on him this weekend - especially on one so young, but he kept his cool and came up with the goods. Michael Brown - First class ride on Sunday. Another one with potential. His minder's a bit mental though Sam Haslam - Quiet, gets on with the job and a great result for him. Dougie - One day I'll figure out why he leaves himself with uphill struggles and then delivers when the pressure is really on. One that nobody has mentioned is Grimbo. Awesome second lap on Sunday. 13 dropped for the lap to equal Cabestany and Dougie on the day. More cleans than Cabestany too which I doubt Cabestany was happy with as it pushed him down a place. Fajardo - Hmmm.... Just how many minders does a guy need compared to how many he's allowed?????
  3. That's what he's known as! Either that or "Guitarman"
  4. Andy yesterday: "12th place. You must be pleased with that" Dibill: "Nah, could have done better"
  5. Yeah - it's worth it to see somebody play ice hockey in a restaurant using their ashtray as a puck! Can't take him anywhere
  6. I didn't devise the maps. They're a download pack.
  7. Beautiful weather when we arrived yesterday, but dull and rainy today. Sleepiest little town I've seen. One restaurant, no pubs! They do have a massive beer tent in the paddock though Will post some section/practice photos later today.
  8. I got an email from them today saying results would be on their way.
  9. I still see this as Raga's one and only chance to take an outdoor title. Can see him dominate the indoors for a while, but a bad year for the Montesa boys and Fajardo's injury has pretty much given him the title. If Fajardo is at full strength next year I fully expect him to be right up there. Bou is young and still gaining experience, but has tons of potential. If Fuji loses his title then he'll be fighting hard to get it back and then there's Dougie. He wants that eighth title and probably wants it even more than he did his first title so he'll be fighting hard whether it's on a Mont or A.N. Other. All in all, I think it's going to be a great year, but feel the FIM need to make a stance on section severity.
  10. Nope. Doug's contract is up for renewal this year. PS. Dabster - the Freixa/Scorpa thing was first mentioned, albeit off-the-record, on this site on 10th July. Just remember, around this time last year we had a good source that said Raga was signing for Montesa. We announced it as it was a good source that I had no reason to doubt. TMX jumped on the bandwagon. It turned out not to be true. That's why I don't speculate. When the papers are signed and it's announced, only then is it fact.
  11. When you posted your Ad you will have seen warnings about fraudsters and some of the tactics they use. If you are in ANY doubt, walk away.
  12. Go to the front page of this site, type video into the seach news archives box below the headlines and you'll find loads there.
  13. Here's some I put together a while ago. Must get round to doing some more.
  14. I consider Trials Central as being VERY fortunate in having a member of the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee willing not only to post in these forums, but to post lengthy messages that take time to put together. John has taken the time to post a message that is basically looking for feedback yet NOBODY, out of almost 300 reads of this topic, has any opinions or feedback on what he's saying. The ACU are on these very forums asking for rider opinion. If you don't tell them what you want then you have no right to complain later!
  15. Physco - get yourself up to Kinlochleven and drink with us Jocks. Saturday night, MacDonald Hotel

    Scott Trial

Indeed - HL, Cameron and Andrea doing their Crazy Frog is indeed painful
  17. Not disallowed at all - Nothing stopping you!
  18. This has been posted to the front page, but I'm aware folk don't always check that so am cross-posting it here. The ACU get a fair amount of bashing on these forums - I've even been guilty of it myself on occasion! Their Open Trials Forum is your chance to have your say regarding the sport. Full details of the when and where are detailed below. I'd be there myself if I wasn't so far away and had a prior engagement shooting Haggis that day I would like to think, out of the many hundred UK members we have on these forums - plus the hundreds more guests who read these forums, but aren't registered, we can manage the required 10 attendees from here alone. If you can make it, go along. Details follow... An Open Trials Forum will be held at ACU House, Rugby on 3rd September 2005 commencing at 10.30am prompt. All aspects of Trials sport and all Championships except the British Solo Trials Championship will be discussed. A forum for this particular Championship will be arranged at a later date. All are cordially invited to attend and put forward any views or suggestions you may have for the 2006 season. If you have any specific items that you feel should be included on the agenda, please contact Alison Devine or Mary Kerr at the ACU and we will try to include them on the main agenda. This forum is your opportunity to voice your ideas and opinions and the Trials & Enduro Committee hope it will be well attended. Attendance at past Forums has varied greatly
  19. If you need help pushing this, put something together and I'll run it front page.
  20. I've just got news and far better pics on this. Check the front page later
  21. I wouldn't entirely blame Eurosport. They can only show what they're given and my experiences with Octagon have not been the best - to the point I complained to the FIM about their so-called press coverage over the reporting on the Indoor Championship this year. It was poor to say the least. I, personally, don't think they do Trials any favours. They picked it up cheap and don't have the dedication or enthusiasm that's required. Yes, Jake Miller and I are buddies (DISCLAIMER: but not lovers as he'd have people believe!) Leaving our TOTALLY PLATONIC relationship aside - since he took on the Outdoor Championship reporting on behalf of the FIM, the quality of content has improved several hundred fold. Why? Enthusiasm. The guy is into Trials and that is reflected in the reports, the photos etc. To Octagon it's just another sport and one they dedicate little resource to.
  22. It's looking unlikely. The chance to go to the World rounds was too good to miss and used all my remaining holidays. I'm damned if you lot are having a get-together and I'm not there!
  23. Got a bloke up here in Bonnie Scotland who's thinking of buying a bike that's down in East Sussex. He can't travel down to see it himself and is looking for someone who could go look it over for him and give an opinion. Anybody help?
