Still not home, but on the last leg. I'm with Ishy too on this one. Totally pooped, but well worth the trip out there to see. We walked the sections on Wed prior to the Trial and agreed then it was going to be a good 'un - and it was. Fantastic sections, great atmosphere, friendliest folk going. Agree with Dougie that the organisers really didn't deserve the weather hassles and that the event really was worthy of it's status. 10/10.

It's come around very quickly, but myself and the Brit contingent are flying out tomorrow and hope to meet some of you next weekend in Duluth. We'll be based in Ishy's RV on the Spirit Mountain Campsite from next Wednesday onwards. Don't be shy in saying hello if you're there. This is a first for Trials Central and I'm really looking forward to meeting some of the names I've come to know through these forums and my previous "jobs" in the world of Trials

The system I used for the SSDT was written in a 4GL programming language and was bespoke for that event. It was basically a series of relational databases and compiled C programs to do the calculations and produce reports. If I was doing the same thing now I'd use Oracle or similar -which obviously is way OTT for your average Club Trial!

Let's just set the record straight on this one once and for all. I have NO gripes about Lane, no "grudge", nothing. I always found him helpful and extremely knowledgable. I merely complied with the requests of my users. Had it been one or two users then I'd have passed it off as merely a clash of personalities, but it wasn't. It was multiple complaints from multiple sources. I hope that finally closes this.

Click for map Good venue, but I still prefer Skyrakes We had a really good weekend last year. Weather was good, trip to t'pub on Saturday night followed by barbecue and loadsa beer then Trial on the Sunday.

Jeez - you'll be chaining yourself to the railings and burning your bra next I've been literally swamped and not had a chance to even think about it. The server move took several weeks of preparation work then there was the SSDT and I'm off to the US a week tomorrow to cover the world round. Oh, and I do have a full time job on top of all that! I know you're just having a little tommy tantrum because you couldn't make it last year due to doing to the opening of a sock drawer or something There *might* be something later in the year. I'll just have to see how it goes.

It tells you maximum file size to the left of the file upload box. I think it's 150k. Accepted types are JPG, GIF, PNG and BMP. It is also possible to attach certain kinds of document files e.g. DOC, XLS, PDF, TXT.
