Before this goes any further I should add that your beloved Webmaster (i.e. Me!) is left-handed. That's the same left-hand that operates the "Ban" button

What's he planning on doing? Linedancing up the sections?
-
Is that CET or GMT? Be careful because even if they do show it, they often get the times wrong.

I've been asked by Caroline to pass this on:
I have been made aware of a thread on Trials Central which details a Halt in
production of the MONTESA Cota 4RT.
This is NOTHING to worry about. 1 bike at HRC is affected - it involves the way the bike is started (and if the ECU is not allowed to set itself before the throttle is opened). Something which all my Dealers have the correct information with regard to same. The ECU sensor tests atmospheric pressure and if the Throttle is opened too soon is therefore not set correctly.
HRC have very HIGH levels of Quality control and in instances of minor run errors will HALT production as a matter of course. This we have to accept, this is their way as their aim is to produce an excellent and without comparison Trials motorcycle.
The matter is expected (and I am assured) to be resolved today - There is NOTHING to worry about.

Please note Trials Central have had nothing official on this yet. It is only hearsay from forum members and should not be considered either official or valid until such time as an official statement is released.

For vinyl cut I think Andy Rothers may be able to help you. He posts on here so may reply directly, but if not then http://www.graffics.co.uk/

One thing I was NOT impressed with was Octagon.
Firstly they sent out false information - i.e. Shaun Morris was riding. That was sent out only 2 days before the event. Having no information to the contrary, I ran the story thinking they were the official press body for the Indoor Championship as usual. Publishing wrong info makes me look stupid and I don't like that. Having realised they're no good some time ago, I've now arranged to get all my info from Crosser for the future.
Secondly, their press releases make Wonder Boy's posts look intelligible (every one has to be re-written from scratch in decent English).
And finally, the guy who wanders round the course saying "line, line" to the press with no official badge, no official press line marked so you don't know where you can or cannot stand and who gets in the way himself whilst serving no real purpose is a real pain in the a**e.
PS. The upside is the NVidia promotion team and Taddy's website have both contacted me for permission to use my photos - which I've granted for no charge

I think it's great you're even asking what folk think - nobody else has done that. It is, obviously, a long way for them to come so you want/need to make it as spot on as possible - and from the feedback here you seem to have done so. It's SSDT territory so will have an affection in the hearts of many, but beyond that I think the organisation has been great and offered just a bit more. The Ice Factor is great and apart from offering them a good revenue boost is a great facility for folk to mingle, get food/drink and for the riders to shower & clean up etc. It also appeared more professional to have a fixed base rather than a trailer in a car park.
My only criticism (and it's not even that really) would be that the Ice Factor couldn't cope - which was understandable given the demand - and everywhere else to get food seemed to be closed. The place across the road missed a mint that day.
Build it and they will come. This website is proof of that.
PS. Carly - Take t'high heels off lass - t'will be easier

To get things back on track, I was stunned to see the NVidia logo all over the place. If you're not into computers then you may not know them, but they are a $3.5 Billion company who are huge in the graphics card industry. No, not as big as tobacco, but a great name to have associated with the event, particularly for younger folk who are into their PCs and having the best bits etc.
-
I think if you guys feed back what you want to see then it will be taken on board - if it's proved to be the general feeling. I talked to the organisers at the event and they are *so* passionate about it. They love it, the spectators love it and if there's geniune feedback about how it could be improved then I'm sure it would be adopted.

Was there for 03 and 04 and both were great although 03 was better from a photographers point of view. A lot of the 04 sections were just too dark. I know it doesn 't come down to the views of the press, but you did ask!
-
Was talking to Crosser about this tonight afterwards and he said his job was so much harder when Dougie didn't qualify. Everybody is supporting him and if he ain't there then who are they to support? (for those outwith the UK, Crosser is the UK Scorpa importer and compere for Sheffield Indoor)
Cabestany was awesome tonight. Given that's a new bike he's not had that much time with and a new team, he was totally amazing. I stopped taking photos of him at one point just so I could watch him ride.
As far as Fuji skipping sections goes, that was a definite game plan and I agree with comments that were made tonight at Sheffield about people paying good money to see the World's best ride sections, not for them to skip them. There should be a penalty for a non-attempt.
PS. Sound was fine from where I was standing

As far as the website goes, I can only apologise. Trials Central became a victim of it's own success. The chat system was tested, but not under load. So many people logged on it simply couldn't cope. My thanks go to r2w for his efforts and improvisation to get round the problem.

Obviously I know who the elusive M4RT is and it's fun to see folk guess, but please remember this is a family-friendly site. I'd ask we keep that in mind when posting.
-
You'll love it - guaranteed. Outdoor World rounds are great, but because they're not in an enclosed space you don't get the atmosphere you do at an Indoor.
Every door at Sheffield will have a sign on it saying "NO AIR HORNS" - what a waste of time printing those is Every bugger has one!
-
It's programmed into my mobile - not even he could bugger it up
-
But you'll need to fill it in and manually add them up. The scoreboard in the arena will do all that for you!
-
I'll be in the Arena. Kinell will be in the crowd using my mobile to send results to Heath who will be at home and Heath will update the site. I'd have sorted a press pass and got Kinell down in the Arena too with my spare camera, but the daft sod is taking his missus
Teamwork!
-
I wish I could realistically describe what it's like down on the arena floor . The atmosphere and noise is just awesome (especially those bloody airhorns!). Never experienced anything like it - especially when the riders first come out.
Last four of 33 batteries in the charger now! And this year I'll try not to lose a lens (Which I'm eternally grateful to Ray Archer for handing in).
I have to thank Jake too for his complimentary pass to the Dougie hospitality.
