More prizes have been offered
I'll be updating the article tonight and hopefully posting Regs as soon as Stuart confirms I can.
-
Shame, but this site is here to stay and there will, most definitely, be a next year.
-
Move into the over 40's and you're up against Dabster. They don't come much more gobby
BTW you any plans to attend the trial of the year?
-
Barbecue is the night before so you get the best of both worlds. Come down, get drunk and see some sights (I can almost guarantee you that!) then ride the next day.
But if you just want to come down for the laugh - you could take Wonder Bra and REV'er with you!
-
Mick,
I've put this front page. Can you get me full results?
-
He posts here occasionally - which you have to admire him for. Entering the Lion's Den springs to mind!
-
But this is my favourite Trials photo
-
I like this one as an "up close". Apart from that, you don't seem to see that many photos of Grimbo.
-
Game on!

Or a big blob of mud turning your 3 into an 8, your 8 into a 0 or some other combination. Unless you're riding happily down Princes Street, number plates do not stay clean and are easily obscured - as a few people on these forums who, like me, have been involved in SSDT results can verify. An illegal rider could easily smear any plate with a few blobs of mud and nobody would be any the wiser.
-
You swine! I was keeping that quiet in the hope of winning the 1D

Anybody's comments published?

Gave to? You went and planted billions of gallons of oil under their soil? Hmmmm....me thinks not!
-
Nah - just invade a country that has plenty
Joking aside, I saw a website the other day (which I can't remember now) that reckons oil production peaked in 2001 and we're now on a downhill slippery slope. I didn't believe the 2001 thing, but they talked a lot of sense about a world post-oil.

One word - taxation.
Few years ago here, the tuckers got together and blockaded the refineries and distribution depots in protest. Almost brought the country to it's knees. Petrol stations were either sold out or those that had fuel had queues for miles.
-
All sorted out and photos added - you were almost there, The images were uploaded - you just needed to select the set of images from the drop down list and put in the tags.
Thanks to Matt & Craig for the results, report & photos.

It sounds to me like one of those daft "forward this to everyone in your address book" emails that 90% of people will delete purely because they're sick of "forward this to everyone in your address book" emails.
However, back to the fuel - I paid 79.7p per litre for petrol today. That's $1.48 at todays rates.
1 litre = 0.26 US gallon. Lets call it 0.25 for ease of conversion.
2 litre = 0.5 US Gallon.
4 litre = 1.0 US Gallon
Which means my US Gallon of petrol today cost me $5.92
I really don't think you guys have anything to complain about!
(UK - A US Gallon is only 0.82 of our Gallon)

At least, according to that article, the Police seem to take a good stance:
"Sergeant Steve Breen of North Yorkshire Police says, "We are not opposed to the lawful and responsible use of off-road vehicles. But action is now being taken against those who use their vehicles in an antisocial or careless manner, or in places where vehicles are not permitted."

I was going to continue the topic, but you never know who's reading these subjects and I don't want to give the tree-huggers anything they can latch on to as ammo...
-
And posted my views. Problem is the BBC are very selective on what they publish.
I'm surprised at the lack of coverage on other websites. I know Bradford have taken it on board and possibly some other Club sites, but...
Sandifords - nothing
Scorpa UK - nothing
Gas Gas UK - nothing
These are the folk who make their living from the sport. They should be first on the bandwagon!
-
I've brought the subject back to top of the front news page.
-
Should bleedin well hope so too!
-
I think North Lanarkshire is the closest. Big John may say otherwise...
