I wanted to make it longer. It's very hard to fit a six day event into under three minutes and God knows, I've enough photos from over the years to choose from! However, I have to think of those still on dial-up.
Well StuartC has sorted the accomodation and the flight tickets are booked. All I need now is for someone to receive the texts and the live updates are on!
I've always liked that photo (apart from the shadow cast by the statue), but never really noticed the guy till I was putting the video together. Unfortunately I think he's taking a photo and not saluting. A military man wouldn't salute with his left hand.

There's no meaning to my choice of that song other than the music and tempo fitted and it created the right atmosphere without sounding stereotypically tacky!!

One thing that's not on your list, but has been mentioned many times over the years is disposable cameras. You'll see sights that few get to see and you certainly don't want to be taking an expensive digital with you...
I thought it was a good photo - just finished the Trial and still a happy bunny (or dog as the case may be!) Plus it brings home the fun aspect of the event.
No passport required for Northern Ireland BUT check if flying. Some airlines insist you carry it these days even for domestic flights.
Technically You don't need it for EIRE either. They'll take a photographic driving licence.
Well a lurker on these forums happens to own an embroidery business and has sent me a catalogue along with a sample that looks damned good. If it's viable then I'll go for it.
