Mick, I've put this front page - any objections, let me know
-
Topic deleted at the request of the originator.
-
We're still trying to get confirmation that Koblenz will be shown live. It now looks like it won't be.
-
They went AWOL when I did the forum software roll-back. Maybe Ishy would be kind enough to re-upload them?
(Just Edit the post and replace existing if you do Mr. Isherwood, Sir!)
-
Oh don't start all that thank you stuff again!
-
No, my fault. Trying to do too much of everything at once.
-
I had a sudden thought this afternoon (first time for everything!) - just checked and problem is now solved - both for uploading pics and for fixing broken avatars.
-
For anyone who hasn't noticed, the front page article now has full results.
-
Now should i delete that given that the advertising of tobacco in motorsport is now illegal?
PS. She's a hunny.
-
-
Am trying to get hold of results. Have just posted a pile of photos, front page.

One thing that nobody's mentioned is the organisers. I think they did a great job. They had a short time with access to the arena to get things set up and had to get out ASAP. Dougie's mum was spotted with a sweeping brush afterwards and Martin swapped the suit for overalls to help too. Can you picture Schumacher's mum sweeping the pits? I don't think so!
Congrats to Avondale for laying on a top event
-
Thanks guys. I'm a bit disappointed in the program I used to resize the images en masse. It's softened them. This is one of my favourites as it should be:

Yes, I had press access to the arena so was right where the action was. If you mean speaking to the riders then, other to offer congratulations at the end, then no - they don't really have time for idle chit-chat!
-
Yup, he was coming down off the tall box on the left then supposed to go up the face on the right.
-
Fuji just before he fell. Dougie fell on the same hazard, but made it higher up before falling:

Photos from last night now online:

Both of them took very nasty falls on that section. Should have seen all the photographers run when Fuji's bike started throwing itself about after landing!
One thing's for sure though - Dougie wanted that win badly. His face said that and he totally deserved it.
-
Thanks for the comments guys, but now it's confession time. All the texting was done by StuartC's son. There's no way I could have taken photos and kept pace with the speed things were happening so big thanks to Ant for doing that and thanks to r2wtrials for posting all the info.
It's going to take me about 5 hours to get home, but there are some good photos I'll be putting up this evening. It was a great night.
-
I'll be texting the Sheffield results as the happen back to r2wtrials who will update this thread. Please don't post messages in it!
-
There will undoubtedly be something out today from Octagon, but I'm heading south today so I may have to write something myself if it has't arrived by the time I leave.
-
Not really a good gauge because those riders will ride what they're used to riding and whilst you may not believe it there is a MASSIVE climate/terrain change between Fort William and even as far south as Edinburgh or Glasgow so what may suit back home may not be suitable for
the Scottish.
Looking at the 2002 stats for the SSDT (because I have them in Excel so easy to calculate):
121 of the field were from England
50 of the field were from Scotland
9 of the field were from Wales, Isle of Man or EIRE.
81 were not from any of the above.
However, the question was about riding in Scotland, not riding the Scottish, so the only people qualified to answer this are amongst those 50 who are from Scotland and who ride there regularly.
-
In the New Year. It says early Jan on the site.
(I'm still seeing SMS talk all over the place.)
-
Hahahahahaha. Nice try!!!
-
Psycho - You can say White Brothers of Darlington if you want! I'm not adverse to the odd little plug if folk are happy with service.
