  1. another thing i'll probably regret ;)

i've told sherco dude i'll give him a lift to tc trial

Sherco who? Regrettably, he's been banned for being the one who attempted to gain Administrator access to the forums over the weekend (which he admitted and showed no regret for). He's still welcome to ride if he wants, but since he'd already had a warning about his conduct on here, he's no longer welcome on these forums.

  2. I guess HL could give out the prizes - if I ply her with enough vodka ;)

Prizes so far (in no particular order):

1 Pair Novogar Boots courtesy of Martin Crosswaite at Scorpa UK

1 Towbar from stock, courtesy of Stuart Cameron at Autowbars

1 Gas Gas Hoodie courtesy of John Shirt Jr at Gas Gas UK

1 Set oversize cams courtesy of Alan Hulme at YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE Products

1 Rear Michelin Tyre courtesy of Brian Curran at GP Security

1 Set riding gear courtesy of Michael Chan @ HKRC (Which I've already got and looks great)

1 set assorted Trials Photo CD

  3. I'm snookered for your TC trial. We have our own 40 section mountain trial on the same day. Spend a week marking it out I can't miss it.

Was a bit gutted - I do enjoy the odd half pint of shandy (sometimes two).

    Next year.....

Shame, but this site is here to stay and there will, most definitely, be a next year.

  4. Barbecue is the night before so you get the best of both worlds. Come down, get drunk and see some sights (I can almost guarantee you that!) then ride the next day.

But if you just want to come down for the laugh - you could take Wonder Bra and REV'er with you!

  5. Next thing you get penalised for the number being the wrong size.

Or a big blob of mud turning your 3 into an 8, your 8 into a 0 or some other combination. Unless you're riding happily down Princes Street, number plates do not stay clean and are easily obscured - as a few people on these forums who, like me, have been involved in SSDT results can verify. An illegal rider could easily smear any plate with a few blobs of mud and nobody would be any the wiser.

  6. We should take the oil back from bleeding idiots we gave it too and let them drive about in donkey carts and ride on the backs of camels.

Gave to? You went and planted billions of gallons of oil under their soil? Hmmmm....me thinks not!

  7. There's no need to drive round in vehicles that don't even do half that these days, it's just selfish, and will have consequences for us all if we don't change our attitudes.

Nah - just invade a country that has plenty ;)

Joking aside, I saw a website the other day (which I can't remember now) that reckons oil production peaked in 2001 and we're now on a downhill slippery slope. I didn't believe the 2001 thing, but they talked a lot of sense about a world post-oil.

  8. One word - taxation.

Few years ago here, the tuckers got together and blockaded the refineries and distribution depots in protest. Almost brought the country to it's knees. Petrol stations were either sold out or those that had fuel had queues for miles.

  9. Just want to thank whoever it was in the WOTA for putting the Motorama results on, I've been trying to  post something since last night but keep buggering it up,  Mo, Larry, and Curly would be proud, first timed out on the story then posted images without a heading, then the images were too large, in between rushing off to work, hope to get something out tonight, if not

All sorted out and photos added - you were almost there, The images were uploaded - you just needed to select the set of images from the drop down list and put in the tags.

Thanks to Matt & Craig for the results, report & photos.

  10. It sounds to me like one of those daft "forward this to everyone in your address book" emails that 90% of people will delete purely because they're sick of "forward this to everyone in your address book" emails.

However, back to the fuel - I paid 79.7p per litre for petrol today. That's $1.48 at todays rates.

1 litre = 0.26 US gallon. Lets call it 0.25 for ease of conversion.

    2 litre = 0.5 US Gallon.

    4 litre = 1.0 US Gallon

Which means my US Gallon of petrol today cost me $5.92

I really don't think you guys have anything to complain about!

(UK - A US Gallon is only 0.82 of our Gallon)
