Get your backsides over to

They're asking for feedback so don't hold back!!! :hat:

Hell no! You sound like you know what you're talking about and I'm still very much a learner. Any advice is very welcome. (Apart from that, I don't mind links to other sites on here unless it's blatant spamming)

Worthy of front page news methinks. Thanks for the tip-off Mick! :hat:

Just to avoid any speculation, I have taken the TA forums offline.
I have passed them a dump of the forum database so that they can reconstruct them wherever they're moving the site to. There is no point in sending a point-in-time dump if the forums are still active as that dump then becomes out of date and invalid.
By taking the forums offline, they can then rebuild them to exactly the point they were at when I took them offline.
Easy!

Yeah - John may be able to help, or maybe one of his domestic staff could take one of his fleet down
BTW, I thought about coming along, but looked at the map and it's just a tad too far - especially if the weather turns nasty. My car and snow don't mix.

Hmm. Name Steve.......
To be honest, I'm caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. I've seen Steve more times than I care to remember at the Scottish, but this will be my first time at an Indoor round so yeah, I'd love to see him up close and get the photos.
On the other hand, Shaun has, potentially, a great future and competing with the World's best in that environment would be great experience for him.
Do we go with showmanship to entertain or do we nurture the future? That is the question. I wanna see both!

Just had a longer look at them and definitely a touch of the Marlon Brando in there.

No, in a park in the rain with my jacket over the camera to protect it and me getting soaked in a t-shirt.
However, I learned like you that handheld for fireworks ain't no good:

How much you spend depends on a)what you want it for and how much you're going to use it. There are some fantastic digital cameras out there now in the lower price bracket. I've not tried the Finepix cameras myself (I'm totally sold on Canon), but I've heard good things about them.
-
Yes. With tripod and remote release!
-
It's not so much the eating the batteries as the recharge time increases dramatically. Anyway found it today. Phoned a local Canon Professional Photography dealer and was told it was discontinued. Phoned my buddies at waltersphotovideo.co.uk and they're ordering one from Canon and I'll get it next week. (They're not really my buddies but it's where I got my camera etc from. Good service, prompt delivery, well packed and competitive pricing. I'd recommend them)
-
You swine - now if they're crap everybody will laugh
I've spent hours today trying to find a stockist online for the external battery pack for the 550ex - that thing eats batteries. Jessops quote 4-6 weeks delivery. Everything, unless they have it in stock, takes forever to get hold of with that lot. A few phone calls tomorrow methinks.
-
Fantastic photos
Dial-up users - it's worth the wait!

Does the word "****" spring to mind by any chance?

Gav, when you're older you'll be emailing me begging me to delete these posts!!

well you took your bleeding time!

Jonny will get it. There's no doubt.
The year that some english player missed a crucial penalty, there was a big email campaign in Sotland to vote him as Sports Personality of the Year. Apparently the Aussies have launched a campaign to try and keep jonny out, but the sassenachs have countered with yet another email campaign. I got it today and replied along the lines of "I'd rather have bamboo shoots thrust under my fingernails".
It's a foregone conclusion.

Now normally I can translate, but this one has me completely stumped!!!

While the site was being built I had a few guys help me out by testing the programs and stuff. When I got them to test the forums I registered as "Wonder Boy" to wind up Nigel Dabster. Worked a treat too
