Motors TV are useless anyway at announcing the scheduling, but I swapped messages with Lisa Leyland who normally presents the shows earlier in the week and she's not going to be at Sheffield. I don't know if that means no presenter/different presenter or no TV, but it wasn't taken as a positive.

No 1 tip would be to get there early and go to pub or restaurant. Car parks at arena, but they're very busy.
-
It's not a case of "can't be bothered". I don't know the ins and outs of it, but it's a political situation. I'm sure Fuji, Kuroyama, Ogawa brothers etc would love to compete.
I should also point out not all of the Commission are dead wood or freeloaders. There are a (small) number who work hard, are enthusiastic and are keen for change, but the old challenges remain...

There will always be a round in Japan as long as the mighty Honda have a presence in the Championship. There is no doubt major change is necessary, but having recently received the list of officials in the Trial Commission for 2015, it's the same old names. Nothing will change until they get rid of the freeloaders, dead wood and those who are closed to any ideas except their own.

I fixed them for you. The forums look at embedded information within the image to determine the correct rotation. Sometimes it's a pain in the backside, but it can't be switched off.
-
Dunno why, but there wasn't one.
-
Don't know about that. Dabster hasn't posted yet. Happy Xmas folks. It's been busiest year ever and next year is looking even bigger. Thanks to all for your support. A community is only as good as (most of ) the people who post

It's because of the way the various systems work. Registration is handled by the membership management system. That passes details to the forums database when a user registers, but country isn't one of the fields. I'll be doing some upgrade work over the holidays so will take a look at adding it. Shouldn't be too complicated.

You asked the question yesterday, got some answers then deleted the topic (didn't like the answers?) Now you've started another topic with the same question

Nice article on the making of this video

Just sticking this in here for those who don't check the front page...

A key thing here isn't just the bike. It's also working with Doug. He only knows one way - winning. He'll work James like he's never been worked before and that should hopefully be reflected in his results. Nobody is going to overtake Toni right now, but when James is on form he's more than capable of regular podium places.

I believe this will be a new venue for the Championship so you're probably not going to get much response. Best to try and get in touch with the organisers.

-
That's Nigel Dabster. Before the operation, obviously.
-
Oh sweet Jesus. Here we go...
-
Deryk isn't quite correct on this. You can log in and view from any device. What is in place are pretty sophisticated measures to prevent account sharing i.e. multiple people accessing the same account. One person accessing over multiple devices should be fine.

There was a rider protest in Corsica where the top class riders effectively went on strike. It wasn't nice, particularly for the organisers who'd put in so much effort for the first visit of the championship to their little island, but if it hadn't happened in Corsica it would have happened somewhere else. The valve on the pressure cooker finally popped.

From what I know - availability mid 2015. UK importer will be Sir Douglas of Lampkinland and price as yet unknown. Factory is currently being built in Barcelona not far from Montesa factory.
-
I'll have a look. Maybe if it's there folk would use it. I seem to recall it's a relatively straightforward piece of work to implement, but if it's a lot of fiddling and hacking files I'd wait till after next forum upgrade. There's a big one due soon that's got some nice new features coming
-
This comes up every now and then, I ask who wants it and never get sufficient/any response to justify it. If there is demand I'm happy to look into it.
-
The mudguards aren't final product. As far as £££££ goes, Dougie himself said he doesn't know where this £8k that's being thrown about has come from. Pricing isn't yet decided.
-
How long must this have taken to put together?
-
Italy never left stop-allowed. The France thing is interesting though given the Michaud situation.
