  1. By JC I assume you mean John Collins and not Jesus Christ John's had problems logging on which I've been trying to sort out with him, but he's off on travels so can't progress things until he gets back. I'm sure he'll provide his usual comprehensive response once back online.
  2. Why have Scottish Television got a photo of you in their reception?
  3. That's bollocks. John Collins spends a LOT of time putting together extensive posts on all sorts of ACU-related matters on these forums. He doesn't have to do that.

    Ssdt

I was £700 for my eight nights. Okay it was dinner, bed & breakfast and increased by the fact I forgot and left it late, but it's not a cheap business these days.
  5. Recommending suppliers is fine as long as the poster does not gain personally

    2013 Updates

The topic is in the deleted items forum (which you can't see), but it wasn't me that deleted it. Can only assume the original poster has removed it.
  7. Correct. 31 = time penalties. 32 = machine faults
  8. The truth is we don't know for certain. from what was worked out before I left, Dougie and James were tied on points, tied on the number of cleans, ones, twos, threes and fives and we *think* it then goes to furthest clean. If that is the case then Dougie has won, but there was a lot of speculation as to how exactly it would work and if that was the method used to decide the winner. Only the Committee know for sure.
  9. They're nothing to do with me! I've just got the forums configured to pull info from and link to the SSDT website
  10. Broken finger. He's had to retire
  11. I've got a tenner on rider 190. Odds were 50,000,000-1 but I'm confident his one-piece will see him to victory
  12. Mark owns H&D Racing - a TC sponsor (hence his pretty green badge)
  13. Just asked Tony who's here and is the main TV guy and he's no idea either
  14. Yes it will, but no announcmeent as to when. All that's come out is "The FIM Trial World Championship will enjoy TV coverage in all five continents in 2012. Global audiences can watch all of the main action as the season unfolds in a series of fifty-two minute highlight programmes that will be aired immediately following each of the seven rounds. Bet to keep an eye on Motors TV.
  15. Kinell page was a good couple of hundred miles off that map and I didn't want to confuse folk
  16. I'll miss Mart & Isobel at the world rounds. Mart for the banter and Isobel because it's like having your Mum there! I remember out in Czech republic a few years ago we jokingly said to Isobel we wanted fresh scones with cream and jam for our afternoon tea. We went out, did our work, came back and somehow, somewhere she'd found the ingredients and made fresh scones with cream and jam. Awesome
  17. If you're heading up from Englandshire for the Pre-65 or SSDT and normally go Glasgow -> Erskine Bridge -> Loch Lomond -> Crianlarich then life got a little bit easier over the past year. If you normally go up to Stirling then via Callander you can ignore this! The M74 motorway has now been extended into the centre of Glasgow so you no longer need to take the M73 then the M8 (which can be hell at certain times of the day) It's dead simple and as it's just one motorway straight in, you can't possibly get lost! As you approach Glasgow you would normally come off the M74 onto the M73 for a short distance then onto the M8. Don't. Stay on the M74. Follow the M74 right to the end - watch the speed limit as it drops to 50 as you get into the centre of Glasgow. Strathclyde's finest are known to haunt it as it's a new road... At the end of the M74 you will rejoin the M8 south of the river Clyde and on the correct side of the Kingston Bridge. From there it's just straight out past the airport to the Erskine Bridge as you normally would. Simples
  18. I'm not sure I understand the "I'm not sure if it's allowed so I'm going to do it anyway" approach, but there is no issue with anyone mentioning a company if they've had good service providing they don't gain personally from it. However, there are two businesses blocked on on these forums by the software.
  19. Heading up in a couple of hours. Gorgeous morning in Central Scotland....which means the polar bears will be out in Lochaber
  20. Never quite got my head round that one myself... From the outcome of the riders meeting in Feb "The Practice session, the day before the event, will be retained however the duration will be increased to 3hrs to accommodate the envisaged increase in the number of Entries."
  21. I'm afraid I haven't a scooby I'm no longer involved in the club side of things and haven't been for quite a while (still got my Scooby though )
  22. I know from my involvement with the Scooby Clubs it's a case of buy cheap, buy dear with gazebos. A number of the Clubs funded better quality ones by selling advertising space on them. I'd chip in for a TC Ad
  23. If anybody has problems doing this, such as "email address already in use", either PM me or email trialscentral AT trialscentral.com and I'll update your profile.
  24. I plan on carrying out an upgrade of the Membership System in use on TC over the next couple of weeks to bring it in line with the forums. The latest version of the Membership System is a complete rewrite and, because passwords are stored encrypted, they can't be migrated. What will happen after the upgrade is that everyone will have to reset their password (it can be to the same password as you currently use, that doesn't matter). It just has to get into the new system correctly. To prepare for this it's very important that your registered email address on the forums is correct as the password reset procedure will involve you clicking on a link in an email. You won't be able to do that if the email never gets to you. To check this, click on your username in the very top bar then "My Settings" and then "Email & Password". If it's wrong or out of date then please make sure you update it. You don't need to do anything more at this point. More info will follow.
