I will not be there, but Mr. Saunders appears to have had the foresight to engage someone on the media/press front (not Jake) so hopefully we'll see things done a bit more professionally and timely than other manufacturers have managed.
Oh, and as it looks like these bikes will become a reality, separate bike forum created.

I've stuck this up on front page of TC

Your question has been answered in your original topic.

It's not just the costs associated with the FIM demands. The costs of fuel to get to events, the ferry or flight costs, road tolls, hotels etc etc are putting attending beyond the means of many and that's not just for competitors. The last world round in France this year they'd have been lucky if there were 500 spectators and they put the start time back by an hour both days to try and up attendance. It didn't work.

Politicians don't make rules about hard standing, electric supply, water supply, internet connections etc etc etc. All that combined with the rest of the "requirements" limits venues and cost a bomb to provide. However, if (and it's a big if as it's totally unconfirmed at this time) these rumours about Laia and Bou are true then that would clearly indicate Honda/Montesa pulling out of Trials at a world level and if they do then it's the beginning of the end for the WTC.

More info in English:
In response to the wishes of motorcycling enthusiasts, Ossa launches an extraordinary model: the new Ossa Explorer 2012. Inheriting the spirit of the legendary Explorer presented in Paris in 1972, the new bike from Ossa maintains its philosophy: A comfortable and very light bike, easy to ride and designed to enjoy both the mountain and the city.
The designers from Ossa approve the new model, which will be in production in Girona as from February. This model will take advantage of the innovative features of the TR280i, such as the two-stroke injection engine and the chassis. A style of bike that is not found in the market; a combination of a Trials and an Enduro bike. It has a bigger seat and offers fun, safety and comfort, together with amazing handling sensations and inexpensive maintenance. With its ISS Injection Start System, it uses a lithium battery to allow for a precise and easy kick start.
For sale in Spring
The motorbike is scheduled to be distributed in Europe as from March, and in a second phase, Worldwide.
Entirely made in the Ossa Factory in Girona, the new Explorer brings high technology to a new concept of bike

Half asleep, clicked on new post link and first thing I saw was this. Choke/coffee/monitor moment.
-
The link is fine. The forums will tell you fast enough if you link to something that's not allowed
Only thing is... I had a photo of that very bike on TC on 3rd September

If I recall correctly, individual scores aren't published anywhere.

You can say "Nigger" y'know. It WAS the dog's name and is historically correct.

Fajardo had bike problems as you've already correctly deduced.
He rode a minders/standard bike to the top of a section to get his card punched 5. A minder was then seen pushing Fajardo's bike.
Being disqualified didn't affect the championship positions at all. Fajardo's score for the day was/would have been 68, putting him in 7th position and gaining him 9 championship points. That, added to his existing 115 points would have had him finish the championship on 124. Cabestany finished on 129 so Fajardo's finishing place in the championship would have been 5th regardless.

He's here now and okay, just p****d off he won't be recovered in time for the Scott
-
Bou is on 184 points
Raga is on 174 points.
If Raga wins tomorrow, with 20 points for a win that would put him on 194 points.
Therefore in order for Raga to win the Championship (if he wins tomorrow), Bou must finish in 7th position or lower (9 points for 7th would put him on 193)
I think it's a pretty fair assumption that, barring mechanical failure or an accident, Bou finishing 7th is not about to happen!

There is a free iPhone App for the forums - search for "IPB".
I can install Tapatalk support if there is demand for it. It wouldn't be worth the work for just one person
