  2. Dabill wins 2010 TC Sponsored Scott Trial
  3. Not on XP, but after many years of being a Firefox fan I gave up on it several weeks ago as the known memory leaks it has were causing me serious problems with slowdowns/crashes. Been using Google Chrome since with zero problems.
  4. Photos added to front page article
  5. 21:35 - Auction just started. Could be a long night, especially with Moffat at the helm
  6. Late. Certainly after 10pm. I'm back home, but Slapshot will be at the presentation and keep me updated and I, in turn, will keep the rest of you updated
  7. Dougie had an early puncture. From one story that delayed him too much so he packed in, but from another story he had it fixed and on his way in a couple of minutes so maybe other problems. Either way he was DNF Alexz Wigg we saw at Shaw's Gutter, but he didn't go through Surrender so assume he is a DNF. Grimbo seemed slow, but always picks up on observation. Jack Sheppard was going well but had bike problems around the last fuel stop so was DNF. Feel sorry for the lad as he really was going well. Brownie was fastest on time, followed by Jonathan Richardson then Dabill. Photos online in about an hour
  8. I have received the following from the Clerk of the Course, asking that it be published on TC: On the 10th of October the Red Rose Classic Club held the Waterside Trial, the final round of the Northern British Bike Championship. Although as Sec. Of the Trial and Clerk of Course I am biased, what a great day it was. We had good back up from the members, plenty of observers, a good entry of all abilities, co-operative landowners allowing us access to some of the best sections classic trials can offer, and even the sun shone! Unfortunately one rider displayed some abusive behaviour and foul language at one section to berating the observer and assembled on lookers. I received some verbal complaints after the trial about the rider. As soon as possible I spoke to the observer, Club officers and other witnesses. I have spoken to the rider who rang to say he was out of order and apologises to those offended. The matter was discussed at a meeting on the evening of the12th, disciplinary action decided on and the rider informed. What I consider to be measured, appropriate action has been taken by the Club. On the evening of the trial someone who witnessed this outburst posted comments on the incident and other parts of the trial a website. This attracted comment from around the world, from as far away as NZ

    Hi all

I've just made "location" a mandatory field which must be filled in by new sign-ups. All, if you click on the down arrow next to your username in the top right of the screen and then go to "My Settings" then "profile" you can set your location there. Makes it much easier for folk to recommend suppliers, clubs etc if they know where you are
  10. Just checked with Neil and it will definitely NOT be a world round which is probably better as it gives them more creativity in how it's run.
  11. also thinks Perce is a pillock

  12. Another new feature on TC forums :)

  13. A bit My latest Scoob (latest as I'm no longer in the black one) was in for her first MOT on Friday and the dealer had a new STi Saloon demonstrator in the yard. Looks a lot better, but theirs was in white and didn't do it for me. Black, yes I think it would look the mutt's nuts and it desperately needs a spoiler, but the £33k price tag would be a big no-no for me unless the lottery numbers come up
  14. Having posted link to entry list and start times, I've received an update. Front page now updated with latest here
  15. Thank you You reminded me to deal with an email I got from Mick Wren yesterday. Entry list and start times now on front page. LINK REMOVED
  16. Alongside TC, I built and have been helping run the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club website for a number of years now and car sites are a totally different mentality. For starters they like to fight far more With some of them it's any excuse to start a scrap There also seemed to be this obsession with "post count" for a long time (to the extent I removed it from their user profiles). It was like the more you post, the more popular you must be instead of the reality that the more you post the more of a gobs***e you actually are! So, you'd end up with topics with dozens of replies and not one of them relevant to whatever the topic was about in the first place! I like the way TC is. It may not be as active as car forums, but there is very little trouble or trolling on here and as has been proven on many, many occasions, there is a vast wealth of knowledge.

  20. If buying from a UK dealer from info found on this website we would always ask that you support Trials Central Advertisers where possible as they help keep this site up and running. Trials UK sell them - http://www.trialsuk.co.uk/products/oiled-balance-boot So do Sandiford Off Road - http://www.sandifordoffroad.co.uk/trials-boots-8-c.asp (Apologies to other advertisers who may also sell them. I didn't have time to go through all websites )
