Saw Doug drop his five on the very last section on Ben Nevis
-
Today's photos uploaded and yesterday's re-done in non-Java gallery format. It's a shame as the pop-up lightbox is so much better to view. Once I'm home and got all photos named I'll do one big gallery of all photos in both Java and non-Java formats so everybody is happy.
Now, it's time to dry off and have a wee beer
-
The gallery format was changed to use a pop-up lightbox to save users having to scroll down to see photos. It may be that Java on your computers needs updating or it may just be sheer load. TC was under VERY heavy load last night.
Todays galleries are currently uploading and I've switched back to the old format. If you still can't access todays once online then it's just down to load and all you can do is try later.
I don't have internet access in my hotel and am currently sat in the car outside another hotel using their wifi. I don't know if I have sufficient battery power to re-upload yesterday's galleries in the old format. If I do then I will.
BTW, MR. Sectiononecleaner, you do realise that TC comprises of only me, don't you? I'd much rather spend my time in front of my computer ensuring you don't have any problems, however this week I'm kinda committed to getting p*** wet through every day on Scottish hillsides...

Anyone responding to this, please send Mac a personal message and don't post the guy's details on here. He might not be best pleased
-
Craig did post explaining why he wouldn't be there, but his post was lost because of this (Sorry Craig).
Having been there and seen the Trial, to be honest, he didn't miss much and I'm sure Dabster will back me up on that!

Overnight last night our hosting company carried out planned maintenance to our web server. Unfortunately this resulted in a corruption in the forum databases. As a result, and to get things back online as quickly as possible, I have had to roll back to a backup taken Friday night.
This means that any new topics or posts made since Friday night will no longer appear. Please feel free to re-post.
Apologies for the inconvenience. This was due to circumstances beyond my control.

Blimey. First time I've seen a legitimate user from Pakistan on here! Unfortunately you may find yourself unable to access the forums from some locations due to a large number of Pakistan/India IP Addresses being blocked because of the high volumes of spammers operating from that region.

Leanachen was exceptionally entertaining last year with the totally unexpected water levels.
Taken there, this is probably about the best photo I've got of Perce. Feet up and, for once, tongue in gob!
OTH - I heard a sluice was left open further up the hill. Was that the case?
-
You were there last year. You know it happens! Just means more for us
-
Every year some of us get together during SSDT week at a very good curry house on the High Street in Ft. Will for some good nosh and a bit of banter. That will be repeated this year and any TC reader is more than welcome, regardless of whether you're a rider, observer or a just a spectator in town for the event.
Drop me an email for details/Contact No. during the week if you want to come along - trialscentral AT trialscentral.com

I got an application to post news from the guy at Lochaber today. I presume he's lost his login details so have re-sent them to him. I'd expect them on the front page shortly.

Right now, we don't have a choice. You don't seem to be threatened with loss of job. You're just pee'd off you're not getting a pay rise. IF (and it's a big IF) I still have a job come Thursday and they say there is no money for pay rises this year then I'll be happy as I will still have a job. Yes, I could find something else pretty easily, but I'm happy where I am and doing what I do.
What do you bring to the table, what value do you add to your employer and what makes you think you are deserving of a pay rise? If you just expect one every year then methinks you are going to be sadly disappointed.
-
I'd agree with those who said you should be thankful you have a job right now and quit whinging about getting a payrise. I got notification yesterday that a "period of consultation is to take place" to cut 10% of my immediate team and that's coming from a company who is very strong position in the market, despite the downturn.
I *think* I'm okay as I'm the only person in Scotland who does what I do for my employers, but nothing is guaranteed. I'll find out by Thursday if I still have a job. You don't seem to have that threat hanging over you so you should be thankful you're not in the position of uncertainty so many of us have been put in, through no fault of our own, and quit p****** and moaning.

I saw the topic title on the front page and didn't even have to click on the link to know who posted the topic. Stalker

Out of date list supplied. Now corrected.
-
I am advised that there will be a "much-enhanced" one-hour programme broadcast on Eurosport following each outdoor round. It won't be live like the Indoors, but the logistics would make that impossible so it's understandable. Further details to follow.
-
I'm sure there will be an official announcement in due course, but I've asked for clarification as I've not heard anything either on this.
-
Banchory (presume you mean Craiglash?) will fall under BAMCC and Bigfoot is usually pretty good at getting results on TC. Now some photos go along with those results would be nice...

At least the exchange rate is more in your favour this year. Should help Noel when he has to post your bail

Not relating to Monts or bikes, but an analogy of how things are going. I bought some Spanish-made oak doors last August for a kitchen revamp. Visited supplier on Monday to see if they were still available to put elsewhere in house and price increase was ridiculous. Guy said it wasn't down to them, or even the Spanish and the Pound/Euro exchange rate, but the fact they deal in dollars and the pound has gone totally tits-up against the dollar. Montesa are owned by Honda and Honda like most globals deal in dollars.
I know working for a Yank corporation based in the UK our prices are jumping big time soon due to the poor exchange rate.

No apology necessary
I'll move it if it gets too far off-topic, but it's interesting and gotta love those old motors. Where can we find out more about these events? Never even heard of them
-
Although TC is bikes, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be keen to see pics of these cars
-
He's a resident of Spain so possibly not. He's also showing in the championship standings which he and Dougie haven't done previously when they've competed.
