Just hang on till after the Scott and make Cota Kid an offer for it. He's got this thing about collecting Dougie's old clothes
-
Just so you don't look like you're talking to yourself, user "sherco25016" had his posts deleted because they contained so much text talk they looked like another language.
No text talk!

I went to the Scarborough Youth two-day a couple of years ago to cover it for TC and can't recommend it highly enough. It's an absolutely fantastic weekend for both kids and adults.
My report from then can be found here
It really is a great weekend and they are fantastic hosts.

I'm not about to ban anybody, but do you not agree it is far easier to read a message when it is written in English than in some sort of pseudo-muppet talk?
I can understand using abbreviations when on a mobile phone with a limited message length, even though I refuse to use it myself even when texting, but on a Forum with a full QWERTY keyboard in front of you and no message length restriction, it is simply laziness and not acceptable to the majority of people who read it?
As I said, many kids have come on here using text talk. It is pointed out to everyone when they sign up that they must use English on TC. Kids are enthusiastic and don't always read things, but point it out to them as I did tonight and suddenly they start doing so as their enthusiasm for Trials outweighs their desire to talk "text talk" bollocks and they'll comply with the rules
Adults, however (who should know better), tend to get stroppy instead of taking it on board and leading by example
-
Not harsh at all. You're lucky I didn't vape your post along with the earlier ones, but instead thought I'd take the time to clarify the position since it seems to be a growing problem on here
It's clearly stated in the terms and conditions of use of these Forums that text talk is not permitted and you even have to tick a box saying you accept them when you sign up.
Text talk is hated by the majority and there is absolutely no reason for it with a full QWERTY keyboard in front of you and no message length restrictions. It's purely laziness. You might accept the decline of the English language as part and parcel of the modern age, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to.
Things are very easy-going on here, but that is my one pet hate. As long as I'm paying the bills it is an absolute no-no and the young 'uns learn fast once it's pointed out to them as their enthusiasm for Trials typically far exceeds their enthusiasm for tlkng lyk ths. That can't be a bad thing.

I can't speak for the Carlisle organisers, but I do know the policy when L&M were organising Hawkstone that the policy was tickets weren't sent out until just a few weeks before the event to reduce the risk of forgeries getting into circulation.

Not as embarrassing as your dancing on Facebook
-
"sum" ?
"ur" ?
"u"?
What kind of English is that?
Trials Central Forum conditions of use, which you all agreed to on sign-up:
"Messages must be posted in proper English. Messages containing SMS Text-type abbreviations of words are not permitted and will be deleted on sight. Continued use of text message type abbreviations may result in posting rights being denied."
NO TEXT TALK

We reached and exceeded 50 bikes a couple of days ago, but true to my word, I took a list of all who had submitted bikes by then, closed my eyes and waggled my mouse a bit and clicked randomly on the following names:
Lingo75
Godzilla
tt5th
totalshell
Zippy
If the above users PM me, I'll either upgrade you to Trials Central Supporter status for the next year giving access to our massive photo and video archive, plus everything I cover this year or, if you're already a Trials Central Supporters will give you a further year free of charge
Thanks to all who have supported this new feature and please - keep them coming. Even I, as a non-rider, am finding it interesting to see the photos, descriptions, modifications and comments
-
Only that old perv Beardsall could chat about masturbation at 10 to 8 in the morning!
-
By the time AtomAnt rode the bike down the fairway to do his run-up he'd have forgotten why he was there
-
Posts about stolen bikes moved to the Stolen bikes topic as it was becoming a spin off of that topic rather than about the cool new "garage" feature on TC
-
To follow the poster you'd first have to know who they were and where they lived. Someone who posts a bike here is as much likely to be followed from a Trial as one who didn't. Yes, bikes are being nicked, but posting a photo of it here isn't going to make a blind bit of difference unless you also post "This is my bike. It is in a shed at 9 Acacia Avenue, Silsden. PS The key for the padlock is under the mat" in which case you deserve to get your bike nicked.

Nobody is advertising anything personal enough or precise enough to identify themselves. If I thought they were I'd have a word.
-
Yes, but they must meet the following specification:
-
If you have a look on the front page of TC you'll see I've added a little something
-
-
Morning stranger It was Ray Archer working for G2F on behalf of the FIM
-
Yahama added to list and Kinell duly ignored
-
Tombo - drop me a PM. As first up there you get a year's TC Supporters status free of charge. It's not a massive prize, but does give you access to our extensive archive of photos and video coverage that aren't available to non-Supporters.
I'll also pick 5 other users at random from the first 50 bikes posted and give them a years Supporters status too. If they're already supporters of this site then I'll extend their status for a year FOC.
-
Fantic added and yup, Shirty would kill me, but I missed Gas Gas. Saw you had Vespa and added Gas Gas and changed it earlier.
-
Now added. I'm sure there will be others I've missed!
-
Errr, no! I had it set so only Admin could access it whilst I was setting it up and forgot to open it up to Members. Me stupid
All sorted now.

I'm pleased to announce the addition of a new feature to Trials Central - The Trials Central Garage!
This addition to the TC Forums allows you to show off your bike(s), upload pictures of it/them, describe them and detail and rate any modifications you have carried out.
This new feature is available to ALL registered TC Forum members, not just Trials Central Supporters.
You may upload up to 3 images per bike.
You may upload up to 3 images per modification with an unlimited number of modifications.
You may create details of up to 50 bikes (it had to be that high to cater for Big John!)
Image sizes are limited to 300KB per image and a maximum resolution of 1024x768.
The TC Garage is accessible here or by clicking on the "TC garage" link at the top of the Forum index.
The only rules are Bikes MUST be Trials bikes and, like the rest of the TC Forums, it must not be used for the advertising of bikes for sale. Please use our free classified ads system for that.
Enjoy and let's see some bikes in there!
Andy
