  1. Hi Steve, i have two 247's that i am rebuilding just now, i would think that the exhaust header should be able to be fitted or removed while the engine is in place, i removed my header and exhaust while the engine was in place. Could be that you may have to loosen the engine mount bolts so as to move the motor slightly to make things easier for fitting. cheers John.
  2. Another lovely looking bike, now i want one.
  3. Looks like the forks are having to go down south as the only place that i have found up here are decorative chrome finishers and not hard chrome finishers. Was worth a try.
  4. Thanks for that eddie, they are my second choice if i can't find any where in Scotland, I have been give a number for a company in Cumbernauld that i will phone tomorrow to see if it is something that they could do, if not it is off to pitted forks with them.
  5. Can any one tell me if they know of any companies in Scotland that chrome fork stanchions? Best to PM me if you have some one in mind so as not to plug a business on the site. Cheers John.

  20. Here is the one i bought on sunday with the alloy tank and just the seat sitting on it, again thought about a TY tank or something and a seat or pad of some description.
  21. Had thought of that possibility or wondered if the 348 unit would fit as they are only £124.00 then get the 348 seat. Funny you say about a comp bike and a stock bike, that was my thoughts today.
