  3. Frame now back from powder coaters with new foot rest brackets welded on.
  4. Hi Tony, top clamp off to a specialist to do the job, there will be plenty of pictures to follow when I start the rebuild.
  5. Bike now stripped down and frame off to the powder coaters tomorrow afternoon, rear wheel swapped out for a drum brake original just to keep it period, also no problems with then entering twinshock trials.
  6. Started strip down tonight, hope to finish tomorrow night.
  7. Hope to get a start this week with the strip down, then get the frame to the powder coaters.
  8. To be honest you would struggle to find all the parts that you would need to complete a build, better option would be to get a complete bike that is needing restored, that would be easier in the long run in my opinion.
  9. Looking for foot peg lowering brackets to weld on and a top yoke conversion to move bars up and forward, any suggestions where to get them? cheers John.
  10. Hi Jer, thanks for posting your bike, it looked great in the day I bet! I believe that my foot rests and the brake lever have been lowered and moved back slightly hence the angle of the rod. cheers John.
  11. I paid what I was happy with and the seller was happy so that is all that counts, yes I might of got one cheaper or paid more for one but you get what you pay for if that helps.
  12. Just picked up this Ty for my next restoration project, looking to strip it down and rebuild with upgrades where possible, there will be photo updates as this project goes on.

It is looking good Ally, glad you got it sorted, looks like you and the mates were having a good day out. Cheers John.
  17. Hi Larry, thinking of keeping the brake on the left as i don't have any other bikes to ride at the moment so there will be no confusion with the controls. Cheers John.
  18. Sorry to hear that Alex, it will help if you could give the area in which it was stolen, that way people can look out for the bike if out and about in local woods etc. Cheers John.
  19. Hi Sacha, have a look on the ACU website under riders/members there you will find a club index for the regions of the UK, click on your region and you will see the clubs local to you. Contact a club close to you and arrange to go along and meet them at their next trial, take it from there. cheers John.
  20. He does like Fantic's It is a hard choice though Fantic or a MILF.
  21. In that case ask as much as you think it is worth I would think that you are going to have to lose about £1500 on the new price at least.
  22. Second hand every time, to big of a hit on a new bike, wheel it out the shop and you have lost a grand, just look at the number of bikes for sale at 3 and 4 months old, dropping up to £1500, i would say have a look around before you part with your cash.
  23. I would say it is like every other bike, it is only worth what some one will pay for it, so do you think it is worth what the seller is asking?
