The Normandy MCC are running their Arthur Repton Memorial Trial this coming Sunday the 11th on a new piece of MOD Land at Deepcut, Surrey.
This is the first round of this years Thames Valley Trials Combine Championship and it will also be celebrating the evergreen Derek Cranfield's 60th Anniversary, yes that's right 60 years of riding motor cycle trials, Derek told us his first event was the January T.V.T.C. Trial in 1955, I don't think there are many that can say they have been riding for 60 years and still winning his class. The TVTC combine along with Witley & DMCC his lifelong club, will be making a small presentation before the start to commemorate this milestone.
Anyone wishing to come along and watch the day the venue can be found just off the B3015 Deepcut Bridge Road, and will be signed from the A30 by the American Golf Roundabout and the junction of the B311 and B3015.
Or visit the club's website at www.normandymcc.co.uk or the combine website www.thamesvalleytrials.co.uk where you will find a map.

Local rider and trial organiser Graham Manthorpe who was a member and helped many trials clubs in the south east, sadly passed away on 19th August, his funeral will be on Tuesday 2nd September at Worth Crematorium, West Sussex. Only flowers from the family at the funeral, but any donations to either Chestnut Tree House or Rocking Horse Childrens Charities. Our sincere condolence to his wife Sarah, sons Joel and Adam.

Thanks again for the replies, I managed to repair it, which will hopefully last a while, I'll keep an eye out for a replacement though.
For info this is it, I don't think its an original?
Maybe a Can-Am one as the clutch cover that came with the engine in the bike was a Can-Am one.

Thanks for the replies.
I was just seeing if there are any other options
I'll see if I can repair the one I have if not a call to mr Matthews and mr Renham

Anyone know an alternative gear lever to fit an 1980 SWM TL280?

Our club trials are self marked, we have cards that we take round on a lanyard and mark ourselves.
As the trials are meant to be fairly relaxed we don't get a problem with people cheating.

Hi All
On behalf of Normandy Motorcycle Club.
With regret we have to announce that the Goodwin shield Pre-67 trial to be held at Hungry Hill on 23rd February has been cancelled.
The MOD have stopped all motorised activities on their land for at least 5 weeks.
Apologies everyone, we hope to run the trial later in the year, if it ever stops raining!

Hi all
I am thinking of moving my condensor to up by the coil under the tank, and while I am at it put a second one there.
Can anyone suggest a type of condensor they have used which has worked OK and where to get it?
Looking around there are lots of different types from various bikes.
I was thinking one with a bracket to make it easy to mount, is there a specific specification I should look for?
Mr. Nolan has lent me one with .59 Italy 10F stamped on it
