Hi there! I just bought a Scorpa SY 250´01 in decent shape. Love the bike, fits my old school riding style very well! 🙂 Now I have a little problem: While sorting the rear shock I took off the subframe and damaged a little transistor that is connected to the fan. 2 of the 3 little pins just broke off! Can someone tell what kind of transistor this is (Type or description?) and where I can buy it? Maybe at a local electronics shop? Also, i need to know where the 3 cables(colors) are connected!? What is the transistor actually needed for? If someone can answer theses questions, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I had to change the Conrod Kit on my TLM 250´88 recently. As always there were no parts listed anywhere for this model! After disassembling the crankshaft i found out that there is a conrod kit made for Honda NSR 150. Available through different manufacturers like TKRJ, Royal and some others. This Kit has the same length and uses a 24mm conrod pin also. Only the conrod pin is to short for the TLM. So i had to order a TLM 220 pin from cmsl.nl. All these parts were delivered in about a week and looked exactly the same as the original. I believe all TLM models have the same stroke, so i think these parts might fit all models. Please check before buying! :-) I can´t tell if anything was changed by previous owners on my TLM , but i do not think so. Hope this helps and can save some time and money maybe! cheers Bernd

It´s been a while since i was here! I just finished my rebuild of my new Honda Aircooled Mono TLM 250R (1988). A quite rare Bike and it seems to be underrated in my opinion. I was looking for an air-cooled mono and wanted to have a disk brake at least on the front. And i was in the mood for a japanese bike again. A few days before christmas i bought this bike in really bad condition. Parts are not easy to find, but when you get a little creative a lot is possible. I managed to find a wössner piston of a 250 Rotax that was available in 74,50 and 75,00 sizes. The main difference was the 18mm Piston Pin and a different shape to the dome. Also there were no holes on the backside of the piston. So there was some work required. Now the bike is almost finished, and i am very happy with the result. The bike feels very light while riding and has good power and a good throttle response. I was thinking of taking off some flywheel weight when i first saw this heavy piece, but i think i will keep it that way. cheers Bernie So here´s the bike:

Hey! www.trialparts-shop.de has build an interesting clutch lever using a small needle bearing. There are no changes needed on the crankcase. It is made for either the original cablemount or one of the often seen extensions. A friend of mine made some changes to the cable routing on his Fantic 300. Seems to work quite good. My new Beta TR 240 The standard bike felt kind of strange. Very short and very high front end, so i lengthened the swing arm by ca. 40mm and shortened the forks by 15mm. Then i also moved the fork up in the yokes about 10mm. Footrests have been moved back and down. Now it is a really nice bike to ride and very competitive. Not missing my Fantic 240 at all!

@bestrcpilot I think you should try the electronic ignition of the DT 175 MX(thats the name of the model here in germany). This engine looks similar to the DT 175E engine in the picture from feetupfun. I am running this ignition in a few of my TY from 175 up to 210 cc and i am very happy with it. The only problem is, it does not fit the ty crankshaft, you have to use the crankshaft of the DT 175mx ( or E?). But it is worth a try! I always wanted to have a motor like the DT 175MX with added Flywheelweight and a trials-Gearbox. So that is another thing needed to be done: add some weight to the DT MX Flywheel!

Hey! This is my TY 210! No, it´s not a Chase TY! I build this bike in winter 2012/2013. Lots of modifications like: 57mm stroke(machined engine cases)/68,5mm bore/Fantic forks and frontwheel(different to pictures)/much longer swing arm/Swingarm spindle moved forward/Electronic Yamaha-ignition from `82/Special Exhaust system made of montesa 242 Front pipe and a MX Silencer and so on... Rear loop and original shock mounts are removed now. This Bike runs great,revs like hell and has plenty of torque. Won the 2013 German Classic Trial Cup on it :-) And the best thing is: It is my first bike!!! Bought it in November 1980 and sadly had to sell it in 1984 due to knee problems. Then in autumn 2012 i found it at a Classic trial in germany and was able to buy it again! (Thanks Michael!) It was still in that green color i had painted it in 1983. So it had to be green again! This bike is never going to be sold again!!!
