  1. If you can get the spokes, why not try it yourself..? Just swop them one at a time. When I rode in the British MTB Orienteering team, we were in Barcelona, and one of the team had worn through his rear rim with the brakes. We looked through Barcelona bike shops until we found a replacement rim. Then spent the evening in the hotel room swopping each spoke in turn, into the new rim. By adjusting the tensions in the correct way, we got his wheel usable for the next day. These are skills that you should learn if you want to stay riding.
  2. When I started trials riding, in the 1960s, all the trials were road trials with 40 sections. So theoretically we used to get 40 observers. This might have been reduced by the section 1-5 observers covering sections 35-40 later in the day. Also many sections were multiple sections, with 2 or 3 sub-sections to be ridden as one. This would mean that one observer recorded 2 or 3 scores for those continuous Sub-sections. Maybe for our 4 lap events, the sections could become joined double sub-sections, then we would only need 5 observers to cover the whole event. It would mean a lot of work for each observer however.
  3. What do you hope to grease..? As far as I know, there are no grease nipples on trials bikes. The engines are lubricated with petrol-oil mix, and the suspension contains thin lubricating damping oil. You might want to grease the chain, but I prefer sticky chainsaw oil, applied with a paint-brush.
  4. Mitas well use a wooden tyre. Although if you only ride on the road, they should last several thousand miles.
  5. Hope you have it fixed by now (one year later). They are quite flexible, and can be bent easily with a 3 foot long pair of pipe grips.. Stilsons, holding the part in a hefty bench vice.... No heat required. Yours seems to be bent at the root, about one inch from the pivot. Merry Xmas and a Happy 2015... Feet-Up..
