  1. thanks for input, i will probably try to modify gasket as mentioned by Konrad. must admit i never thought of annealing gasket, because it was new it should have been ready to fit?
  2. Looking for advice, i recently re-built engine (been ongoing for last couple of years) 90 % of parts were bought from TY Offroad. when started engine after 3-4 mins it starts loosing oil from right hand side of cylinder (from head gasket area) when i re-built i checked both the head and barrel and both are dead flat. The only thing i noticed was that the new head gasket (copper) doesnt have room for the o ring on oil passage stud. anyone else seen this or what was your fix? reluctant to use sealant around oil feed

    250 4rt crank

hate to be a spoilsport, but you cant buy the inner race for the bearing, you have to buy a new crank i found this out when mine started to vibrate, (must admit it had run fine for a full 12 months) but when i stripped engine i found no inner race had been fitted to crank bike had been running with just the support of the small needle roller in generator. much to my disgust honda completely rejected my request for goodwill warranty,

    Back kick 200

There is a level plug in r/h casing
  5. Bought a gg250 after 4rt 250, then 4rt 260 brilliant bike when i got it right! Just couldn't get it consistently right. nearly gave up my favourite pastime, then went back to mont (300rr) now i finish with big smile on face (and always finish) may not be be most competitive bike out there but certainly one of the most enjoyable not trying 2 stroke again!!
  6. don't waste money on Gortex gaerne. I am on second pair and both started leaking after a couple of months. thought the first pair leaking was a bit unlucky but not both! just bought a standard pair and some sealskins
  7. put some stainless bearings in, I fitted some last year after Dave Rowland trial and still as good as new. ridden quite a few long trials over last 12 months so I can confirm they stand up to heavy use everything gets hot pressure wash after every ride, even if water gets in no rust forms so no wear if I remember correctly they cost me about £2 more each than standard bearings, I used to sometimes fit 2 sets a year so I am saving already!!!
  8. Admiral, put in reg no, shoud come up as Honda SH300 just renewed mine, £119 all in

    Fantic 200

hi, just acquired a nice used Fantic 200 (rear kick) with intension of winter re-build ready for next year! appears to be all standard except for tail pipe and rear shocks. I am thinking of getting frame powder coated but before I do a couple of questions:- been reading forums about re-positioning footrests (about 25 back, 25 down) any advice as to best position? also thinking about steering head tuck but from what I have read so far 200 doesn't need this, any advise would be great. last for now, what should rear shock length be? the ones it came with look like they should be on 750 road bike, length not bad but springs are about 3'' diameter!! I am thinking about buying a pair of Rock Shocks, any feedback on these? cheers
  11. Try Hastings Direct insured my 300RR with them £118 fully comp put in reg number and it comes up as Honda SH300I, when I spoke to guys at dirt bike show I was told this is Honda's official prefix

anyone know if a twin stage throttle body from 250 4rt will work on newer 260 bike? if it will which maps are you all using? i currently have the Laia Sanz map and like the way it makes bike run and seems to give loads of time in sections but would like to try different map
