My Clice and Jitsie pants have the same closure. Looks like a Nifco SLCRF. Now all I have to do is find somebody who stocks them without requiring a 10,000 piece minimum order.

Just pulled my relatively new S3 pants out of the washer and the buckle was in pieces. Anybody know where to get replacement part? Closest I can find seems to be snowboard toe buckles.

Perhaps not. If GasGas was unable to pay their suppliers that would put considerable stress on those small manufacturers.

I’m not sure about the 2015 but the earlier bikes powered the incandescent bulbs from the ac windings pre-regulator. The fan and, I believe, the microcontroller in the CDI ran off the 12V from the regulator. The new bikes with the LED bulbs run the lighting off the 12V from the regulator. Worth looking at the documentation on the Beta website.

Aargh! Went to replace rear brake pads and stripped out the head of the pad retention pin. Not a happy camper!

No love for the Dunlops? They came on my 2018 and I’ll admit at first I wasn’t convinced until I learned they like less pressure than the Michelins. Now I think they are pretty good in most terrain only giving a little away in mud.

I think it’s just cheap insurance adding to the capacity of the pump plus getting rid of the strip prone plastic impeller.

Probably still has the voltage regulator in the headlight. How about getting Keihin to put the mixture screw on the proper side. Or increasing the float valve diameter so the 300 doesn’t suffer fuel starvation at full throttle. Or, gasp, figure out how to keep the kickstand from getting wobbly. Obviously the attention is going to the higher margin enduro bikes.

As a general rule of thumb black smoke is unburned fuel. White smoke is oil. Sounds like your fuel injection might be a bit rich on top but if the bike runs good why worry.

Same with US law. You can not waive liability for negligence. There are in most states hold harmless statutes where landowners are indemnified for people using their property. But... That doesn't mean you can't be sued and the cost of a lawsuit that you win can still break you. And the laws are a bit funky in other ways. In New England we have a helmet rule in our rulebook. I enforced it when I was president (with much complaining and gnashing of teeth but that's another story). Here's the thing. If you have such a rule on the books and you don't enforce it and someone gets injured not wearing a helmet you are considered negligent in the eyes of the law. If someone gets injured not wearing a helmet and you don't have that rule you are not negligent. Fun huh? Selective enforcement of safety rules is VERY risky and one of the main reasons I stepped away from being a club officer.

A wise decision. I've been using the full length plastic covers on my Betas for years. The only time I didn't was riding a brand new bike. I let a friend try it for five minutes and within 60 seconds he slid the fork leg down the side of a rock. Wasn't even necessary, he just wasn't paying attention. Nice big scratches down the aluminum slider.

Rode yesterday. It’s good. Bike shifts easily. Stays in gear. Is still a pain to find neutral but no worse than stock. I think I’m done. ?

Haven’t updated in a while. Too busy. The “final” iteration is now in the bike. Reverse 16mm bearing with custom cam. Several events were run with 14mm bearing with custom indexer/custom cam on shortened pivot pin. Bike hasn’t popped out in months. I’ll make some of these available in a bit. The hot setup with the stock cam appears to be the 13mm bearing on the custom indexer with the shortened pin. Or the 13mm bearing with the reversed indexer. EDIT: With the stock cam before 2019 (or 2018 factory) as they have different cams which may require the 16mm bearing. Anxiously awaiting feedback from the Beta beta tester with a 2019.

Not just new, “bold” new graphics! Beta better up their game or TRS is going to convert everyone. You can't swing a Beta kick stand around here without hitting a TRS.

Makes sense. Freezing will kill most bacteria. Ice crystals destroy the cell walls. Not sure of the effect of repeated heat cool cycles. Usually wreaks havoc on adhesive joints like the liner to shell in most helmets.

Look if it doesn’t work for you don’t do it. Not everything has to be debated ad nauseam.
