  2. What he said times 3!! Bou was fantastic, what a rider! he made my night! i ha virtually lost my voice by the time i got out shouting for toni!! On a last note Marc Vinco what a rider, doing the sections on a push iron i've seen these guys before but he was just fantastic, what a crowd pleaser!!
  3. as far as the differences i'm not sure but i rode the 125 and 175(143!) at birks test day up at low north and i thought the 175 had a lot more poke than the 125 and of course has all the top notch 250 model springy bits !!

Thanks very much for all the replys, but the bearing wasnt knackered i wanted to remove it without damaging it, i could of used a press we have one at work but i rang the anodizers and they said not to worry the would mask it off!,hey ho should of done that first eh!. Once again i am amazed by the fellowship and knowledge of this board, cheers guys. As a kind of p.s, the frame has gone off to the sand blasters, i have chosen the colour with my friendly local powder coater its going to be my own version of Nozaki's 2002 indoor bike..........................

I am in the process of stripping my SY250 down, well its actually in a million bits already and i want to get the taper roller off the bottom of the yoke shaft(wrong description i know)without damaging it as the yokes are going to be anodised and the bearings are fine, can anyone help? :santawink:

Hi, scorpa 3, have no idea wether(?) its stock or not the bike was owned by someone called Gary paffet/parfet (from darn sarf allegedley)so he may of fitted the bit on. it is a piece of approx 25mm by 3mm ally drilled and held in place by a locknut at the top of the original adjustment bolt, hope this helps cheers buddy. :hat:
  12. Hi, mine has a tab of ally about 3/4" square held at the top of that bolt by a locknut, for what its worth, never had to adjust it :hat:
  13. Just what i thought looks like a tall barrel and a different exhaust going on in the background, or maybe it just looks big after the titchy thing in the front of piccy!

Yeah ta, had taken the regulator off when i stripped the lights off and when the fan kicked in and the bike was revved the fan stopped!?, fitted it back on and hey presto back to as good as new !! By the way a big thanks to Kev at Birketts for all his help an absolute top bloke and didnt even laugh(too much)when we figured out it was me that had messed up (er again)
  16. Thanks guys, have found the problem, the fan stops working at higher rpm so we think it is either the little black box controller thingy or when i have taken the lights off i have taken out too many wires, further investigation should have this sorted ready for a play at the weekend. Brad.

First one first, Boof, glad to hear yours is good, at least i know this isnt normal Spud, i have checked and refilled the cooling system, no probs. the bike has never boiled over i know it may sound daft but it just feels hot the front pipe is absolutely 'kin scorchin, the rad aint blocked .... Charlie, these things are on my list to do, thank you thanks lads, i am not saying your ideas are wrong im kind of hoping either i have missed something or someone comes up with something we(my buddies and i)havent already planned to check, Thanks again, Brad. p.s Doug, this is one of things i have already checked but am going to check again.thanks
  18. i have an 04 sy250 that seems to get very hot i.e the fan runs almost permenantly and then starts to pink in the mid range when under load, now it has a new tactic of dying completly when the throttle is cracked open again in the midrange when under load. I have cleaned out the carb a couple of times using carb cleaner and airline and have never seen any muck in there, i have been advised not to oil my filter just to grease inside the airbox, i also have greased around the back mudguard/top of airbox to stop water ingress and it has a one size bigger main jet to try and get more fuel thro' to cool it down Any mods have been recommended by Kev at Birketts (uk importers), any ideas guys? p.s it also dont like to start from cold, one kick with choke if you miss that its choke off fuel off and full throttle ,Kev says this is quite normal?whats your experience? Yours in anticipation Brad.

    Pampera ?

    Hi eric, there is no reason why the Rekluse clutch wont work on a pampera(if available), they do make 'em for some 2 stroke models, i for one think they are a fantastic idea and would of probably put one on my husaberg had i not sold it to finance my trials addiction
