may look similar but if it aint broke dont fix it , and at least 1000 quid less than the honda i know which ill be buying !! AGAIN
-
the answer from dl and tf sounded diplomatic to me because (i may be wrong and i aint listening to it all again it takes sooo long on standard dial up ) didnt one of the sherco riders say 4t as well and they are supposed to have a bike all but ready as well ,
-
this dexron atf stuff ; i used to run normal atf in my road race bike and was very good but someone recommended pj1 clutch saver for the pro and it is better than the ipone i was using less drag etc , is the dexron that much better and whats the situation with using it after pj1 do i have to flush the box ?
-
first off thanks to all concerned for putting on a great weekend ! as neon has said maybe too much too soon in the drink dept (if thats possible !) i will be back next year without tonsillitis ,cold , big bag of excuses etc and with a few more trials under my belt, read more confidence ! ( and by the way bigfoot you will never ever take my last place with a ride like that ,well done ! ) CHEERS TO ALL !!!
-

-

the only thing i can see that is missing is an elec start it may start fine when new and upright but with a bit of wear and lay it over and things may be quite different , or is that the point of fuel inj ? sorry i agree with whoever said about research on 2t instead ,
-
in fact neonsurge looks like ron jeremy ! and ill be there all the gear and still no idea , as for neons roll call ; short 30ish balding gas gas pro rider seeks 17 to 117 y.o gsoh for fun and more ......... ooops sorry wrong advert
-
speak to gg uk tjey have the mods , in short remove air box from mudguard /seat unit and silicon aruond the faces refit and blather silicon all around any joints then order mudflap for front mudguard ,shield for front of frame and larger rubber boot for top of frame, and thicker silicon tube for under seat dont worry its only cheap for all 4 parts and dont forget to put a small amount of grease smeared around seat before refitting ..... and it still leaks! so keep a spare filter handy !!! (yes i know all you beta riders never suffer any of these probs but hey we are wtc indoor champs so they arnt meant to be waterproof !!!!) :blink:not sure if not taping the hole up is a good idea if you live somewhere wet like yorkshire
-
NO YOU CAN NOT ha ha ha and re fork seals make sure you ring tez too invaluable if allowing for the F factor !!!!
-
if we tried hard enough we could probably wind up a few lr owners on this thread , eh tim ! ( what do you mean they are just cross because they didnt have the foresight to buy jap)
-
not a very manly van but ive seen bikes in the back of those renault kangoo things and they do those in 4x4 versions , cheap too and prob more reliable than any land rover product ! ( ha ha calm down lr owners just joking )
-
well spotted steve i was about to post that myself ,looks like it could be interesting though !
-
i most certainly did big fella from the alan of bird himself no less ( think its a clear out job every one is going motul ! boo bring back ipone )
-
having put up with a nice clunky gbox since getting my bike i was told to try castrol 030, this proved impossible to find locally , so reading a thread somewhere a chap mentions PJ1 clutch saver 75w . never been a big fan really so i carry on with motul , any hoo ive succumbed to the charms of PJ1 eventually ..... and wow wow and wow again as craaaaaaiiig david once said ..its slicker than the average !!!!!!! bo selecta .so whoever you were cheers !!
-
re fork seals ; seal savers fitted JOB DONE no more worries
-
putoline do a thingy called action kit which has a tub to clean it in some cleaner and oil its fab and lasts ages cos the tub has a strainer in the bottom so all the old poo sinks to the bottom , very neat and tidy if you like that kind of thing !! and as a last thought HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT BY THE MISSUS puttin the old filter int washing machine jeez i would get strung up !!!!
-
i have recently bought a new bike 03 pro gg and i agree with jay its a mental thing i.e confidence and unless you are a good rider i dont think your points improve hugely unless your previous bike was a 1976 swm or something !!!!!!!!! not that you cant do well on old stuff just i like new bikes ( and im still crap so there you go )
-
whats simple green !!!! dont you smoke that (not that i would know occifer) should have said i live in north yorkshire , england ,not near london !; so pro clean sounds like the boy for this job, and if you use jizer try proper bike cleaner instead it will make a difference
-
im looking for a good quality bike wash easily available by mail order or whatever i used to use a product called moto wash which i beleive was made by ipone but can no longer find it locally ive tried a product called ( rather amusingly) fuchs off which i was given at the bike show but its still not as good as the ipone product ......... HELP !!
-
askie, i have the same bike and my fan cuts in real quick too , whilst it is stiil warming up but so far my steed is fine so that may not be an indication of poorly
-
this was supposed to be a reply to changs question about which new gas gas . just i pressed a few wrong buttons; as for the first gear thing ill try that at my next trial ,as i said im fairly new back to trials ( from trail riding ) so im willing to try anything ( steady on !!! ) that will improve my riding ! so keep the tips coming guys , cheers !!
-
i bought a 03 pro 249 recently and find the bike very manageable and i ride clubman b (read very novice ) i have fitted the slow action throttle (much to the amusement of my ridin buddies ) and it helps with the quick power , not too sure about riding in 1st gear tho ! think that depends more on the terrain than owt else , i like ; the sussies the lack of weight , the really light controls , and the looks; dont like , the way the bike looks second hand quite quick ( and yes i do look after it ). a few people i have spoke to have mentioned the 200s i would have to try one first and only beta make a full 200 all the rest are 160s an similar .
-
thanks lads ive (read someone more capable) replaced the seals, anyway i dont really know why they have gone, i move it on a trailer but dont tie it down too much i dont put it away dirty and as for the film trick my last enduro bike was a husaberg with white powers so i know more than most about these tricks( not trying to sound clever just white powers aint all they are cracked up to be ) so ill be keeping a close eye on these and be giving the mighty seal savers a call !!!!!
