Did you have the 16" on full speed setting? My lad has ridden his 7 times now for 30-60 minutes at a time and the lights still show that it's fully charged!
No way on full speed!!, it would be way too fast on full chat at the mo'. it lasted the same time on saturday and sunday where as the 12.5 still had a load of charge left and this riding was on a flat grass field, do you think it is faulty?.
-
Hey great stuff, had my boys out on theirs for the first time on saturday ( a 16" for the 5 yo and a 12" for the 3 yo) and they love em really cool took them to a big park and then Dalby on sunday and no one said a word of complaint !!, that wouldnt happen with minimotos would it!!
Only got 2 hours out of the battery on the 16 tho but that was non-stop!!
These things really do deserve to be a huge success you could run a trial anywhere! and my little guys absolutely LOVE EM!!!!!!!
-
My thoughts echoed exactly, could not believe it when i saw the headlines on eurosport sunday night, an incredible man and and a very sad loss, my thoughts go out to all suffering at this very tragic loss.
It was on radio1 yesterday asking people to text in and describe how they remember Colin and my first thought was "sideways!!"
-
Who are you and what have you done with the real lastplacebrad?
(I know I've opened myself up for some abuse so I thought I'd abuse someone else while I've got the chance )
Very very funny!!, now where has my ball gone i need to take it home!!!
-
Hi, i know this wiil cause controversey (sp?) but i ride a 26" and as a full grown adult i think you look a bit daft on a 20", fine if you are a yoof or in a big group, but on your own i think it looks a bit odd. also a 26" is more similar to a moto size wise.
You could always put a sidecar on it if you wanted, we had one on a raliegh GRIFTER when we were kids, it was great fun!!!
-
Cheque in the post for one of each, for my little monkeys, time to start bribing them mi'thinks!!.
Dont know who is more excitied them or me!!
-
I have Maggies on my Ashton and they are ace, but if you ride like a teenager, i.e every night they may become a pest i dont know, although i have heard good things about the Avids.
Which ever brakes you choose rim type wise i reckon tar on the rims takes some beating!! much less agressive than smashing an angle grinder into your new rims!!!
Speak to r2w he has good things to say about riding a modded MTB and not falling for the youngsters tricks like trying to make you think you need 08 components to even do a stoppie!!, do it budget man its the only way !!
I would quite like a Mod long too if anyone needs space in their shed!!
DISCLAIMER!! i got my Ashton at cost thats why i have an almost reasonable bike!! and all the so called bling on my bike is good stuff but old stock from Grip and Tartybikes(top blokes they are)
-
Heath you are so gay!! only joking, looks the biz dude!, oops am i allowed in ere? is it me or have they been selling Betas to Gasser owners!?
-
Slightly off topic i know guys, but did any of you see the OSET electric bikes at Hawkstone?,Our boys are 5 and 3 years old, the 5 y.o Harry been on the average to tall side, whereas Josh is 3 and a little short a***, just like me!!,
I was impressed when Kinell showed his boy on one but was scepital to say the least until i had seen them. Although having seen them in the flesh, so to speak, i would love to, or in fact am going to buy one each of the 16" ones and the 12.5" ones. What do you think am i mad should i wait and buy petrol ones or as i ride at low north and we spend a lot of sundays at Dalby forest we can take em to both.
As many of you are already trials dads i would like to hear your thoughts.
Cheers Brad.

Just really echoing the words of everyone else, it was a great weekend and fabulous to see Micheal and Shauhgan take the top spot, i dont know about everyone else who was there from scarbororough DMC but i was certainly welling up and had to lower my sun glasses seeing "our" boy on the top step!! it was ace!!.
Our domination of the Junior class looks set to continue as surely the crown will be Wiggys next year, who didnt seem to have such a good day but was still cheery and happy when interviewed after the event, showing himself to be a true ambassador, well done Alexz!
-
Nice to be wanted at anytime as i always tell the wife, but thats not to do with weather, although its as rare as a sunny day!!
-
We all know how bad the weather has been some unfortunate souls know more than others!!, and i was put a little at ease by Jakes pre-Hawkers camp site check!!.
I also know we have long weather forecasts available all over the internet but, the question on everyones lips must be.....Slapshot, lets have your thoughts, you were spot on if i remember rightly from last year!.........
-
YES YES YES, Lets get behind all the brits in a very unbritish manner!!, they are all our boys and all doing fantastic job, let us remind them who the "real" trials guys are!!!!!, let us all (be for once,in these ridculously pc times!!)be proud to be BRITSH!!!!,dont be afraid, embarassed or shy be proud and lets let those heros know we are there for THEM!!!!!!!!
-
Hi, I got one for my 1980 RM50 resto-project off E-Bin its a Clymer one and it is very good, i would try there or Moto merlin.
-
-
Wahey rear brake up and running out for a ride tonight!!, it was the hose between the master cylinder and the fluid resevoir that had a tiny split in it but what with all the fluid flying around it was difficult to see where it was coming coming from ....until i had a moment of divine inspiration
-
Very cool!, good man Dougie.
-
Absolutely fantastic!!!, i love watching the irish rally champs on motors tv!! these guys are gods in my eyes, makes the wrc as dull as ditchwater to watch! .
Its ok having yer scoobys and the like but you are going very fast indeed when you are having fun, get it wrong = big accident at least with yer old stuff the speeds are lower(well a bit less!)
-
Yeah, they could do a psycodelic flourescent pink frame and wheels.. would look good with polished yolks, swing arm, footrests etc
NOOOO!! its not a sherco!!
Check out the british championship results and its still spot the 4 stroke!!! and a few riders in our club (SDMC) have gone back to 2t power!!, dont get me wrong im not saying 4t is poo, i have only ridden the little scorpa and the 4rt and they were both lovely bikes i would be happy to have either in my garage, but these are guys that CAN ride ! you pays yer money!
-
Did you see that 250F flying up the BIG climb at hawkstone!! easily as poky as the Mont IMHO, i was stood next to Birks on that big climb and even they were muttering things like wow and oooh!!.
So what if it is a 300 the honda is reputedly a 280 and the Sherco a 320 and surely thats one advantage of using an exsiting engine in that bits like big bore kits are already available.
Besides the kind of power Taddy and such like require is hardly indicitive of the uk trials market in general, most of whom would probably go just as well on the little 175!!
-
I read in a trade mag (tool hire) that fuel left in summer hire equipment strimmers, mowers etc needs replacing after been left all winter due to the butanes and pentanes evaporating (i think thats the names!) and these are the parts of the fuel that help ignition.
-
Tried that, even went out for a proper ride and still no brake, tbh thats all i thought it was that the pads were too far back and it would come good but no joy!!
-
I have just finished putting new swingarm bearings on my 04 SY250 all good no probs, fastforward to putting rear wheel in, prised pads apart, no probs, give the bike a quick test up the street (my neighbours love me!!) .
Hey presto no rear brake!!!, where would you start ?, pull rear caliper apart? .....not too sure, help required please gents.
-
I was told a similar thing by Birks and that the uk model would come with no road kit whatsoever and have the billet yokes etc like the 250.
