  1. Damn fine looking bike! not too sure 'bout the car/pick up thing though!
  2. Yep indeedy the brits done good especially "our" young browny! Would the Beta minder in question be a certain Mr Galway?
  3. Hi Jim, I use an NGK iridium plug in my SY250 (i know its not a 4rt, wish it was though!)and used one in my previous bike and i would swear by 'em now great starting, smooth running and fit and forget, which makes it well worth the original expense! There are a few guys on here that use these plugs and all rate them very highly! To get a match for your old plug try http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk this site is very informative indeedy! hope this helps.
  4. There'll always be plenty Ham....they can make it but they can't drink it <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  5. On a slightly different note, i got a letter from TMX yesterday to say that VMX mag is back after the untimely death of its previous editor/owner. I for one am thrilled to bits as i loved the mag and will be subscribing ASAP! (and no i dont work for TMX )
  6. That report makes me want one even more, especially with the clubman "de-tune"
  7. I would suspect it is because when setting up suspension you are supposed to start from standard to give you a base to go back to and also so you have a reference point, or so every article i have ever read on suspension says
  8. Oh dear thats a shame and such a suprise too!

    Sales!

Not forgetting that damn orange bunch now have a rather tidy looking twin cam(as loathed as i am to say it) now so it could be either that or the old snoozeville single cam 250. Neonsurge please dont say things like DRZ engined trials bikes i will have nightmares!
  10. looks on the face of it, quite nice
  11. "Big dave" down the dog&duck reliably informed my mate "norm the storm" that mauve is next years black.......allegedly

    Sales!

short, sharp, concise, as usual, also in my mind correct......again!!
  14. with any luck these delays should ensure it is of the "USUAL SCORPA QUALITY!!"
  15. If you are not that confident in the mechanics dept go for fresh fuel and good 2stroke oil before you start altering settings (i mix mine at 70-1 like i said before.) then warm the bike really well first and then ride it, scorpas seem to take an age to heat up ! good luck!!
  16. Hey good choice dude!, i use 70-1 which is about 71ml to 5 litres (or is it cc,s oops!) and put technosel stickie carbon on the frame all the way from the foot pegs to the tank. dont take the round black electrical thing off if you take the lights off it stops the fan working!! as i learnt...dur!, fit the 06 rear mudguard you will pull more chicks that way !! ok it just looks better ! and the stock pegs are fragile even i managed to bust one! put grease on the rear mudguard and silicon on the airbox top so that when they touch they dont stick and this makes a seal against water just remember to leave a gap at the front for air!, i find all of the above work fine for me ! oh and a slow action throttle works good too. DFW and bigfoot should know the rest they are pretty clued up (and if you really must like pink a pink frame would look cool and be a nod to the old ty pinkie too!! good eh! )
  17. Wahey!! another my bike is better than your bike argument!!! yeah and my dad is bigger than your dad etc etc .......hhmmmmm
  18. Now what a great idea, why are all manufacturers not this sensible!, yes i know scorpa use a yam engine, but really this is simplicity in itself and completely lateral thinking!
  19. Not wanting to take business from Steve but when i got a load of bits fer my bike anodized i had the levers done too and they seem to be holding up pretty well and it was cheap too!!
  20. Aye Subira i noticed the sprocket size too, if it was any bigger you could use the damn thing for traction!!!
  21. I would think it highly unlikely that they will discontinue their "bread and butter" model, certainly not straight away anyhoo. Also given the FIMs u-turn on 4ts what reason would they have to not run a 2 model 250 range?
  22. Wow, check out KR's times!!!! on a "homebuilt" bike with a decent motor! :boldblue: :boldblue:(not quite homebuilt but not exactly HRC are they!)
