  1. Thanks just need the nut which is propriety. It serves as the race for the pedal as well as nut and threaded for the 8mm bolt. The parts diagraphm has a picture. I have extra levers already. Old
  2. Bent my rear brake lever the other day. Also broke the rear lever bushing nut. Ordered one thru lewissport but apparently it's back ordered. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement? 15 Evo 250 Thanks
  3. Ok thats where I saw the bpr plug spec; on the cd that came with the bike. I'm sticking with the bpr plug since that is what my owners manual calls for. Thanks Old
  4. I'm 99.9 percent sure the BPR is resistor type plug. The difference between the BPR and the BR is the projected plug tip. Old
  5. Thanks, I guess you could just run either.
  6. My evo came with a ngk bpr 7es plug. I swear I read in the manual the plug was the bpr. Was going to pick up a few extra plugs so to double check I opened the manual online which says ngk br7es. Which one is it? Old
  7. I have skinny legs; should be alright
  8. Was just wondering what the upper plastic chain guide function is. It seems to sit too high for chain alignment. The reason I ask is because it is a mud magnet. I'm wondering if I could just remove it. Old
  9. I wonder if it's possible to use a regular snap ring?
  10. Thanks dabba excellent info. that will certainly help other people out installing the kit. Talking to my parts guy he said the Beta enduro kits come with longer screws. Old
  11. Thanks dabba, That answered 98% of my original question. I'm still a little concerned about the seeger ring being real loose. Maybe its fine because with the original plastic impeller it was kind of tight fitting and maybe because the jitsie impeller seems to have a little more lateral play. The ring turns freely on the shaft but if you move the impeller outward on the shaft it does lock it in. Maybe I'll order a new ring just to be sure. After doing some research on the ring its called a seeger grip ring. Its designed to be used on shafts that are not grooved, which is weird because a ours does have a shallow groove. It is the only ring they make that can be reused according to seeger-orbis the manufacturer. Old
  12. Thanks for the info., but doesn't really answer any of my questions.
  13. Broke the seeger ring? Can I just use a snap ring from the auto parts store? My plastic impeller looked like it had been chewed up on the blades also. What about corrosion. I'm assuming that the cover is aluminum so it should be ok. I noticed that after I took the cover off the impeller had tightened up on seeger ring problaby from the centrifugal force pushing the impeller outward.
  14. When installing the jitsie water pump aluminum impeller do you still use the metal spacer between the seal and impeller. After reinstalling my seeger ring it just spins....... Ok after the installation I started the bike up, for the first minute i could hear a whirring sound and then it subsided. Opened the water pump back up and discovered that the impeller was making contact with the pump cover. The outer ends of the paddles where grinded down a little and the inside of the cover had some of the grey coating gone. I believe it has stabilized. Is this normal for the Jitsie impeller to break in. Because the coating got rubbed out of the inside of the cover will this lead to corrosion. The bike is a 2015 250. Old
  15. OK follow up. Took the bike down to my dealer and he discussed it with Betausa. They feel there is no danger of it cracking further and there is sufficient wall thickness left. He said to just drill it and then fill it with epoxy. If the cylinder should ever crack in future they will still warranty it. Old
  16. Ok here is the pictures. The plastic container was hard to shoot because of the thick plastic. I hope my dealer tiki cycles and betausa can get this sorted out. These make awesome trail and trials vehicles. For those of you wondering what riding in hawaii is like just checkout youtube under Sunday Rides. There is other videos of trail riding in hawaii also. Old
  17. Sorry that is dirt where the cable shroud runs at the base of the cylinder. So I put a new head gasket cylinder in and ran the bike for 15 minutes around the block. Got it hot enough so the fan was running. Let it cool down and checked the coolant. Guess what? It still had foam sludge! So it appears the head gasket was not to blame. So thinking it might be the water pump seal I drained the oil and let it sit overnight to look for water. I don't see any water but the oil looks cloudy. Remember the oil only has 15 minutes run time on it. My friend said he thinks thats normal that the oil will not be golden brown clear after running it. The good news is that Tim Philg from betausa said they will take care of the hole in the cylinder. So I'm sure they will have to figure out whats causing the foam problem. I will post pictures of the bike and oil. Its early here in hawaii. Thanks Old
  18. Still waiting for a reply from beta, I love the bike but kind of bummed out. Have had a string of bad luck with this new bike. Old
  19. ok pulled the head and found the white foam goey stuff on the inside of the head cover. No obvious leaks or breaks on the gasket. The Cylinder looks good. Unfortunately I discovered a pin hole on the exterior of the cylinder. I stuck a pick inside and measured the depth of around 2.3mm. This is appears to be some kind of casting defect. The hole does not go all the way through, but wondering how close to a intake port or water jacket it is. My bike is not even 6 months old yet. Emailed Beta.
  20. 15 Beta evo 2T overheated and blew coolant out overflow. When refilling system noticed white foam. Flushed system and ran bike around the block. There was still foam. No white smoke out of exhaust but it does seem easier to kick start. Betausa thinks blown head gasket. Did a compression test and got 127 at a 1000ft altitude. Does anyone have normal compression values? Any suggestions on possible cause damage? Thanks
  21. Just recieved my long range seat/tank combo. As everyone has said the seat is just foam. Has anyone tried any Mods like covering it? I was wondering if it would be possible to cover it and secure it with just adhesive since there is no frame on it. If anyone has tried this or has any ideas it would be much appreciated. The seat is pretty flimsy as is. Grumpy
