  6. I contacted the splat shop the shock in manufactured non-rebuild. He sends it to a guy that works for Ohlens he cuts it and machines it so it can be rebuilt. seen this on ebay the bumper is worn but mine was not even there got one for a Beta split it down one side took the spring off put the new stop on used safety wire did three spots top middle and bottom been like that for six monthe or more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GAS-GAS-TX-JTX-JT-TXT-EDITION-CONTACT-REAR-SHOCK-/231754066660?hash=item35f59e6ae4:g:JxsAAOSwvt1WSMBw
  7. You can measure from the center of the swingarm pivot to the center of the axle. If the pivot bolt has a hole in it find something that fits snug (drill bit, wood dowel) and measure off of it
  8. Why worry about it? No one here has any control over it JUST GO RIDE.
  9. What about the stater? My buddy's Scorpa would run fine until it got hot ended up the stater was going out.
  10. If a web site is going to sway your decision on buying or not buying ANY motorcycle do yourself and us a favor and don't buy one.

  12. Man that sucks but you are consistent It is my understanding that these shocks are not rebuildable. My 01 280 bumper went south and had to get one for a Beta split it down the middle and safety wire it.
  13. I had a conversation with a fellow club member at one of our vintage two day enduro events at lunch he was "barging" how the 92 (I think) KDX 200 handled and stopped as well as his 2010 KTM. the last thing I told him before I left to pre ride back to camp was " If they were so damn good they would still make them that way. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE." Well when I got to camp NO EMTs found out he blew a turn off the mountain they found him some 100 FT off the trail ( one we had road for many years) the last thing he remembers was not being able to stop going over the edge. He got lucky major concussion 4 broken ribs sprained wrist. And I dont like adjusting cables constantly never had ANY problems with Hydraulics

Yes the yellow wire is your power BUT it is AC the rectifier changes it to DC.If the fan did not run when you unplugged the thermostat and connected those wires more than likely it is the rectifier. DO NOT BYPASS IT
  21. If you look at the line they just have it shifted to fit on the page it goes on the end of the shift shaft.
  22. You should only need one, they are three DIFFERENT THICKNESSES.On my 01 TXT280 they are 0.1mm 0.3mm 0.5mm you use the different thicknesses to adjust the squish (about 1.2mm) up or down. Unless you are a VERY good rider you will never know the difference but you could measure it now to find out if you need to go up or down.
