  1. have you had a look at the parts diagramme HERE but i`d say if your doing such a big job then removing the clutch would not only be a must but also a quick job in comparisson too the rest of the procedure? like the whole of the other side?

  2. Hi,

Thanks a lot for that. With 6) I meant the rear axle/spindle bolt. I'll give it a go at 19ft lb's, although it doesn't sound that much. With my KTM it's about 80Nm!!!.

    Cheers,

I think he had the question marks after his 6) due too you having two 4)`s rather than a 6) oops! :D

  3. ... picked mine up from Lampkins, it was a friend of Gary's (lampkins spares top man) and obviously came from Lampkins direct when new...it is an 05 and when i first had it leaked fuel. Did all the adjustments as per my site and it has been spot on since. Only thing i would like to try is the reeds.... i would like a bit quicker response off the bottom end. May not have the riding ability for it but now Barry has learnt to use my camera i better get into this looping it off steps lark

Yep we all need too see more effort into looping it from all the r2w lot!!! :P take some pressure off me!

Hi Heath, pick up mine is quite good now but would like to change the reeds as well, if you ve got a source for them let me know appreciate it. I ve got a helmet cam if Barry wants to do a video nasty some day? could be good viewing

Not sure if i`d break it mind but may come out a tad boring as 95% of the time I come off ok! apart from that hanging upside down in a tree by my leg bit the other day of course!!! :D

  4. I've had the diardora stone 2 for a couple of months now and have to say the are as comfortable as a pair of old slippers...just need to stop the gasser eating the right inside ankle part...any one had that?...or is it a parcularity that only happens to fat 40 something exiled yorkshiremen?:P:D

I beleive this too be a common problem for the gassers but trialcast do a nice chain guard jobby too prevent the boot damage click HERE

Seems odd as the Gas Gas chain runs on the left-hand side of the bike :D

:D woops but in relation too what he said I was guessing it was the chain!!! ah well

  6. As you have read I have had a nightmare with my carb as well, flooding poor running etc etc from new. Very nearly sold the bike 2 weeks ago due to it. I have set the tangs at 4mm from level and dropped the needle one notch to lean the fuel. Standard pilot and main jet 30 and 150. Now using 100% optimax and 70ml of repsol in 5 litres. air screw is between 2 to 2 and a half turns out. Try those settings, and also running a bpr5es plug. Yer the top lads use Mikuni but I bet they are not the standard ones we all have to put up with, blueprinted more than likely and the best from the batch. Bike still p*****ng fuel out and have to switch the fuel off when stopped else it wont start. Can live with that for the time being as the bike is actually running well in the past 2 weeks although still pinking at flat out up hill.

The dellorto will need lots of setting up but I will change if I have any more problems from the Standard Beta junk

BVM Moto and Lampkins do the extra float bowl mod, think thay are about

  7. Well the Baines plan is clean lube drain cover, but knowing me and my riding style there is usually a fist full of repairs too join that short list!!!! as i`m sure many of you have heard!!!!!

But my excuse is if I didnt break it now and replace it with new nice stuff who knows if it`d fail mid ride!!

  8. Hit it with an impact driver... you'll find out then!! :hyper:

You had no choice with the flywheel Stu... the Hong Kong spec bike doesn't come with them!! :marky: But you still used the gay black throttle tube :marky:

And at the same time bugger up the mains and seals!!!! think i`ll wait for a sensible answer on that one cheers Heath!

And I notice you are now starting on the throttle tube abuse too? my bike is completely standard at the moment and you know that I can still manage too make the thing fly well and truly out of control!!!!!

  9. Right the time has come and i`m gonna give my bike a little more life! But speaking to a couple of the R2W guy`s yesterday and there seems too be a little confusion as too the thread on the screws, is it a left or right hand thread?

I don`t really want to go at it the wrong way just in case I shear one off!!! that would be a nightmare :hyper:

Any help is greatly appreciated as usual
