May be worth bleeding the system and the fact that it drags a bit you could adjust it on the lever for when it is warm but the drag when it`s cold? mines the same I just wait for the engine to warm up a bit (good practise to do this anyway in my opinion) Hope this helps
Thing with plastic tanks is they are usualy slightly porus (sp?) so the fuel will bubble the paint off from the inside however if you still wish too give it a go i just painted a rear mudgaurd and i used a special primer for plastics that helps the paint stick and stops it from flaking makes it flexible then used the same make paint on top of that and came out really nice!
just done the crank seals on my scorpa and yes it is that simple once you`ve pulled the flywheel! may well need some special tools but when you get there the self tapping screw method is one I used and is very effective. Be carefull when putting the new seal in that it goes in straight/square
i had two on the front and one on the back but it was the one i had on the bars towards the car that went so it just catapulted backwards! if it was the other side i would of just had a nice dent in the car which i would of prefered i think
Oh yes held to the back of the car by a strap on the back wheel and the other front strap so got dragged a fair bit before i could get too side of road but could of been worse i suppose if it come off completely
Hi I had the great misfortune of a strap breaking whilst travelling down the motorway with horrible consequences to my bike
I have managed to buy most of the parts needed bars master cylinder etc etc BUT the rear mudgaurd is a huge problem anyone know anywere i can get one? or is there anything that will fit even if it needs a little modifacation?
theres a few here http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product.asp?ProductID=773 ranging in price depending on length but it looks as though the middle length is cheaper than the rest? and they are claiming thatcham approved so yes that means its an insurance approved lock should save you a bit on you premium
However just spotted the hardcore lock and chain here also thatcham approved but only costing
if too tight at least you will wear the chain and sprockets fast at worst chain could snap whip round and crack your cases or bend the output shaft i would suggest to loose rather than too tight.
But my personal opinion on a good tension would be so you can move the chain up and down 2-2.5 inchs with you on the bike
I`m sure if you know someone in the aerospace industry you could persuade them to acquire you some or if you mean the fake stuff the try and find someone with a amccess acount or the like they are motor trade wholesales people
Sorted what used to be `Charlies` in Bristol now `Matts` are on the case so fingers crossed pick that up tomorrow then bike is fully rebuilt ready to go and have a play
Excellent cheers for that i`ve been told of a shop by me that has just been boought by a new owner so i`m gonna give them a go today hopefully still have all the kit
James, Andy put this on that new supporter thread the other day
After much to-ing and fro-ing until I got a design I was happy with (thanks to Vinnie and Ian for putting up with my fussiness!), the sticker artwork was approved and the order placed. They'll be through in around two weeks at which point I'll contact all supporters for their addresses.
Hey again, just got my engine back in the bike after total rebuild and she started sweet as a nut first kick BUT when i pulled the clutch in first time all was good secound time however there was a lot of resistance and when i tried selecting a gear it went in but that was with the clutch lever in any position as if the clutch was permanatlry engaged? any ideas on what may be causing this?
Hi i need a new throttle cable for my `97 easy. At my last trip to BVM i asked them and they said no but one off a rev3 should fit it so i gave that a go but it is around 3-4 inches too short any ideas were i can get hold of a proper one?
