Think you will find most vehicles nose weight is around 70KG but many use a rack on all sorts of vehicles. Can't see it being a problem if I'm honest with you, especially as most SWL's are engineered depending on circumstances to cope with 2-3 times the stated weights.

Must admit I watched the first episode with huge interest, but then fell asleep through most of the second! At first I thought this was due to lack of sleep Saturday night and my HUGE hangover? But I will watch the next one to figure this out

Was hesitant to reply to this as I couldn't remember exactley what I done BUT I do know I used a pair of Suzuki Bandit "dog bones" (suspenion links) as a "V" bolted to the flywheel and wedged them somewere may have been onto the jack stand.
The same could be done with two lengths of steel two bolts that will fit the flywheel weight bolt holes another pinch nut and bolt for the two bits of steel and the floor?

When I bought the 07 I was advised to start it with the choke on (from cold) knock it off straight away and let it warm up for 10 minutes on tick over.
Whenever I do as I was told it all goes well... If I get impatient it is a little rough for a while

Great find, thanks for sharing and it must be said FUJI is a LEGEND

Thest wave rotors have more holes than disk! Stop well and the brakes still squeal to beat heck with the stock Galfer pads! To me that has become a good thing! If they ain't squealing, they ain't working right it seems! Let 'um squeal!
Agreed squelling is good, think it is mainly caused by vibration so a good smear of copper grease on the rear of the pads will stop it a bit also.

Ralph eating to much is he? thought he was on a diet

Just look at the base of SPD pedals and that should answer your question. And you need leverage obviously so the ball of your foot is the optimum position, using the arch of your foot will not only be less efficient but I should imagine in the long run would cause a lot of discomfort and potential health issues!
-
Think he means get it real hot then chuck loads of cold water on it but I would check that first!

Keeping the pads clean and having an edge for the pads to bite on to me mean one and the same thing? scoring the disks and having holes in them also mean one and the same? only downfall of scoring is you don't get the same heat dissapation that you would with drilling.
I agree that you don't have the same surface area to brake on and you may even find the later disks that are drilled MAY even be slightly larger? (only a geuss) And you are right the pads wont last as long but this is were you need to weigh up whether better brakes are worth the extra
-
Baldi is correct I think you will find. Not only there to look pretty but less weight, clears crap off the pads keeping them fresh, less heat in the system etc etc.
Even scoring the disks Ala the old RGV250 front discs would have the same effect to a degree well at least they could get a little more traction and keep the pads fresh. Although doing the job sounds more hassle than it's worth what with having to heat treat/anneal the rotors again. Be much better off buying some different rotors as previously suggested.

I bet that CR is a right animal on the road! Must be fun though
-
The 1997 was grey and yellow I believe so would pressume you have '97 tank infill plastics, not sure how easy it will be to get the white ones of these? May be worth just getting some proper plastic primer and paint

Heres me making a fool of myself on one

If it wasnt for that 'boring motorsport' as you call it, your modern bike wouldnt be half as modern as it is.
Be honest, the world Trials championship isnt boring or predictable is it??
Hmm comparing F1 to trials? never mind MotoGP is an interesting thought!
In my opinion no the WTC is nothing like the F1 nor is it like the World lawn mower racing If you linked MotoGP to Trials I could eventually see the link what with Honda owning the world and all, but in the high ends F1 is a million miles from MotoGp let alone the slow speed torque based sport we play in with trials.
R2W makes a very valid and infact factual point on the F1 front that grid posistions aren't far from final posistions, can't see how that relates to the Beta, Scorpa, Sherco, Montesa and Gas Gas riders we all know and idolise?
-
I see Raptor are now making the hangers for the 07 and very nice they look too!
-
Good game again tonight and as long as England don't make some daft mistakes, and SA play like they did in the first half England have a very good shot next week
