  1. Hi,

Whats the views on bars position, forwards or backwards?

Bikes a beta evo 250, skill level sportsman/clubman. Height 5'10.

Fair enough height of rider will matter. But its got to matter where bars are to how much grip you get from the rear?

Watched an aussie trials video on youtube, says rule of thumb is have the bars so far forward that ends of bars are in line with angle of the forks. That is well forward!

Then looking at worlds top fellas they also have the bars turned right far forward, is this due to the steepness of their sections plus the way they ride more and more on the back wheel?

    Cheers

  2. I've adjusted it loads tonight. Got it to about 60mm. There was about 100mm sag before that and I'm only 64kg. The last owner must of flattened it. He was an average weight. Must of rode well!!

Now he had the rear shock adjuster fully anti-clockwise. Is that common?

I'm not assed on hopping it about just want good grip.

Are there clear clicks in rear shock adjustment? What an absolute prick off a thing to adjust!!

Not very well thought out. Should the adjuster face front of bike??

    Cheers

  3. Hi,

I rode my mates 08 rev 3 125 in a trial on sat night. it ran fine for two laps then died. There were two small stream crossings but it ran fine after that and performed well all night then  Would not start again.

I then washed the bike sunday morning, started fine with choke.

Since then when my friend has stripped the carb, new dry filter in, dried out the airbox then gone to start it, it has run but with hanging revs. Tonight it was screaming full revs and then would not shut off, kill switch and plug cap off, still going balls out.

    Any ideas??

They have dried stator out behind ignition cover, checked airbox boot for splits, taken reedblock out ad inspected all that area. Throttle, slide, jets, all seem good.  Theres nothing obvious they can find.

We'd really appreciate some advice before it ends up going to a shop to be fixed

    Thanks

  4. Evening,

    Can anyone please help?

Ive got a honda nissin front brake master cylinder from a crf450 which I fancy fitting to the 4rt just for the hell of it as I've read theyre a good mod.

I could use the hose from my RM125 but its way too long.

Can anyone please tell me the length of hose needed or which bike's hose I need to buy. Is it one from a small mx'er?

    Thanks
