  1. I can see the problem from the picture. I beliveve your GasGas is a pre 07 model, so you need to sell the RED thing in the back ground and buy a newer Gasser
  2. Take Photo before and as you go along i do this with most things and it sometimes helps. Get a swear box and missus on tap with the coffee n biscuits.
  3. Sherco 290 is way too much of and handful, My mates had one and they were terrible for novice riders. We usually get in the top ten in the 50/50 route and they sank to the bottom because they could not control the bike`s power. I think a 125 maybe under powered so go with a 250 or GasGas 300 upto 08 model as they are smooth but have grunt.
  4. I believe the new GasGas is to be 5k to
  5. Ramblers lovley caring bunch. The very ones i guess pulled up the flags on a trial i was in some years back, result trials bike roaming all over the place and a young teenager crashed as he was lost. I caught a rambler at the Scott Trial pulling up flags so we followed him pleasantly until he grew tired of us.
  6. Im saving hard for a new bike not sure if ill make it for october, maybe secondhand. I would prefer a GasGas however if new it will be a Beta as i heard Gassers are going to be
  7. Arnetts at Doncaster will be able to do it no problems. Highly recommend then cheap and quick service. They have done many jobs for me like engine cranks making bushes etc
  8. Scorpa is very prone to damage if dropped. The tanks are exposed unlike other models plus engine cases ultra thin. Don't rule out a Beta rev3 possibly a better bet than the other two
  9. I only ever bought new Beta`s and with Gasser bought second hand or even considered importing like my mate did because of after market support. Lampkin`s is indeed a credit to the sport and yet to hear otherwise. Hopefully my next bike will be a Beta
  10. Easy job lay bike on its side and remove clutch case, then the clutch basket. Its near the bottom middle of case and has the spring on it. Gas Gas Uk will be the best bet and they can offer advice, possibly the best place to get advice.
  11. Why the hell do they sell em with road lights and 6 gears. Not fit for purpose comes to mind. The SSDT was to test man and machine and manufactures enter teams expecting to complete and possibly win. Trials bikes are just put out regardless of known faults then we fork out for the expected failures, however at 5K for the 2012 I think we should have decent warranty for non damage failure
  12. And you live in Kenya ?
  13. This takes me back some years. I replaced the kickstart with a yam dt mx one, which required heating up and a little bending to allow a better footing. The original always broke on them I recall.
  14. Hopefully the Euro will crash and it will be cheap to import Gassers. Lampkin offers great warranty Even bought me a new rear wheel once put his own pocket after beta refused. 7 months and it's exceptable to start replacing the failing components Mmmm.
  15. Best way of stopping over run is to put the choke on and lie the bike down. Never put it into gear as it will most likely burn the clutch out
  16. I forgot I'd cherried me Rev3 thought it was iPone. Yep it ran crap on diesel but it was cheaper than petrol plus VAT free.
  17. Ah but i bet he can`t put a Rowntree fruit pastille in his mouth without chewing it.
  18. An amazing turn on the rear wheel 40 seconds into video.

    Leaky rad

I fixed mine 2 years ago and its still fine. The liquid metal stuff is what i used its like a putty you mix with an agent, this then goes off setting like erm well metal. Its cheap here about
  20. My wife works in a Prison (drugs n alcohol rehab) and on the whole she says they like prison. They are kept warm feed well and can have porn games n drugs, lie in bed if they wish etc. They boast about stealing and show no or little remorse. I think the first time you should be given jail time and forced to do labour to repay costs. Then each time caught after, one of the outer fingers removed on one hand until they become fixed by force. Good luck in recovering the bikes.
  21. About 10 years ago i removed cylinder head then barrel whilst the engine remained in place. Mine rattled all the time and i replaced A piston for an A piston as advised at the time, also replacing the little end whilst doing the piston. Is about an hour or so job and fairly easy i thought. This fixed my constant rattling. I believe the air filter is prone to allowing mud etc to pass through it unlike GasGas type air filters that fit directly onto the inlet manifold, thus the piston skirt wears causing said rattle. You will know for sure when the BIG END is going, its like a loose spanner in the engine type sound
  22. Put front wheel against a wall and then try compressing forks to establish if its forks or brake system. From here yer on yer on own. Sorry but its how id tackle it. If it is brakes as you think then remove caliper and check the bolts n pins. Best of luck
  23. What your mum ? you sound like a mummies boy
  24. Beta Rev3 would be a better bet as its newer in design with no rear linkage bearings to worry about on an old bike. Also you would most likely get a newer bike as Montesa seems to hold value.
