    The Scorpa is in my opinion a flimsy bike as far damage goes. The tank can hole easy as can the engine case. I have seen a young girls Scorpa engine break in two after it kicked back and holed the tank with the kickstart. Montesa or Beta is about the strongest bike with decent motors if maintained. I would try many bikes as you may regret youre first purchase.

    I agree but if you followed the poster and discover the events they attend, who knows. I feel someone is targeting high spec bikes recently as my unfortunate friend`s loss. Im simply raising the issue so the good yorkshire folk are aware that they may be followed home or watched unknown to them.

    Not to put a downer on the subject but in the yorkshire area 5 trials bikes have been stolen. So be aware on avertising youre pride and joy to all.

    Buy tyre weld and uwont have any issues. I run a gasser and they leak like the Titanic but with trye weld it never leaks.

    Sorry to hear of youre loss. My friend had his Montesa 4rt Repsol taken thursday/friday gone, done by someone with decent equipment to get by the locks and chains etc. Out of interest i wonder if you were followed as i feel my friend may of been. Recent trials were Tong and last week Keighley Gates. I think we need all to be vidulant.

    I see to often and hear of Trials bikes stolen and wonder if the Clubs or ACU could play a part to help in some form. Maybe you have to proved and prove youre frame number when joining a club or part of obtaining a ACU licence which must be amended on change of bike. I know alot end up in rivers after a thrashing by scum but i have seen the police turn up at events and remove bikes. Just seems ashame to see someones hard earnt cash go and some one even buy a stolen bike unknown to them.

    This reaction is why we only assemble things and the indians chinese succeed. What budget did Honda have to make the 4rt 100k ? did Sherco get the main bearings right for years. Gas Gas pro had its teething problems. I am amazed as no leaks and rumours and here you a have the first prototype. Yes it may need tweaks and some positive comments to take on board, but i hope to see a British built bike.

    For my sins i tried them back in 2002 with my first outing on them in the Scott Trial. I knew from the off i had made a terrible mistake as they rode worst than me old tyres. They may seem cheap and new but the rear is the most important part of the bike so why chance

    Ive seen it all i get five on Jackwood and a young lady gets 3 for same ride just because of the name. But i never bitch and take it all with a pinch of salt as its only a bunch of folk riding in a bloody muddy field or stream at the end of the day paying bugger all to do so. I think it needs more investment from all to push the sport other than love and good will. That said i still love it for what it is.

    I fancy some new gear as my Clice is becoming tatty after 4 years. I dont want Hebo as everyone seems to have Hebo and liked the look of Exide, but does anyone have any views on the clothing as to its quality and does it stand up to the job.

    Beef dripping is good and smells great when the exhaust lands on youre leg.

    Do it dry for a laugh then post pics. Me i like it warm wet and slippery does it every time. Oh and a hair dryer whilst workin out the access water. Better still buy a GasGas.

    I forgot what tube size to use to fit my new tubeless tyre onto the rim. Me mate says 16" but i thought 18". Thanks

    I dropped in at Vinces and had a ride on the 250 Xispa and It rode well as much as you can try it at vinces. It felt to me like a Sherco other than the forks which felt dead, maybe just set up issue i guess. It seems ok quality wise but time will tell as does with new models. Me ill stick with what i know

    As a friend of Karl since he turned up in 1993 at Steeley quarry on a 93 Beta Techno in some aweful riding gear and wellies, only to go on to make more and more friends and along with MC, made a great character in the trials scene. I will miss the many times we had taking the Pi55 out of each other as sympathy was never his strong point, but im sure his humour and friendship touched many and will be deeply missed.
