  1. I have had 3 pair and now have Alpinestars. The Sidi boots are over priced don`t last that well offer little grip and my shin`s are scared due to low boot. Wished i got Alpinestars in first place i have never hurt my feet or shins yet and feel like slippers, plus i dont slid when walking in them. I got mine on ebay Sandifords best offer
  2. Yes we Beta few at the olympics, third in the tables.
  3. I have to eat my word as i said my Gas Gas was built like an Indian pram. Well one year on and its the best and most reliable bike ive ever had. It still rides like new which Beta never did as i always had to f*#k with the carb and brakes. Yes i think its not like Mont quality but for the price im happy just wished the nipples on the spokes were better quailty. Never heard a 6 month old Scorpa sound nice or a year old Sherco. Drop a Scorpa on the Tank and kiss it good bye and the engine cases. I have seen a Scorpa engine split in halve on a young girls bike. At the end of the day its what you will like that matters and thats it.
  4. I was told by a body fitter for Bmw to soak stickers in luke warm soapy water and remove backing and soak again and apply as it wil adjust to fit perfect. Then work out the access water by rubbing with a cloth form center to outside. I have done this serveral times and never had any problems, but do use an hairdryer to speed up the drying process.
  5. come to england its never too warm just crap 24/7/365 more or less right for trials. Oh mr brown will rob youre wallet if you smile or wish to enjoy the no go county side. id smile but cant afford it (nhs no hope service) as i save up for sunday.
  6. The Raga is an awesome rip off as the bits you get are only a few quid more over standard parts and you pay alot more and dont keep the non upgraded parts to sell on flea bay.
  7. Did you not get on with square ones ?
  8. Great vid i remember the Jordi Tarres promo vids on the tr32 and tr34 which were back in the 80`s. I saw them whilst in Ibiza 88 in bars and it re-lit my fuse, shame more is not done to promote trials in this manner as combined with a good backing track could reach many youngsters.
  9. zzzzzzzzz!! when is the 2109 released ill only be 141 if i can still wait.
  10. I would avoid it as the 98 had as i remember a poor frame as it replaced the jtx model 97. Engine wise it will be good but i rememebr the frames rotting in months and cracking. maybe its a later model which is should be ok. That age i would go Montesa or Beta.
  11. I think rucksack with litre bottle and a bottle of budwieser might be best for the longhaul.
  12. Ive had Beta`s for years then i bought a Gasgas 300 but thought what have i done. Well a year on and its the best bike ive ever have with no problems at all compared to the Beta. A bike is only as good as you look after it and from then on its how you ride. I just feel that Gasgas rides well nice n light with the best engine ive ridden. Beta is good but long in the tooth and feels heavy, which is a shame as i always thought of Beta in front with tecnology but the engine stems back from the 1994 techno.
  13. There is no substitute for cube`s . You can always tame a 250 cheaply but wont get anymore out of a 125 when you want it. Craig Lee Scott rode on trials with us and his dad, riding the Beta 250 so power did`nt cause him an issue. If you can ride well on a pedal bike you will soon develope on a Trials bike and require power. The juniors ride 125 because of regulation but dont ride them when they come of age or have chance to ride in trials on larger bikes. I heard Alex Wigg has done some trails on a 300 but it may only be a rumour so dont quote me on that.
  14. I have heard many nice sounding 05 Gassers to which my mate had never spent a penny on the engine and sold it on to a young rider who still uses it on experts. I think all bikes are only as good as the owner and look at the experts machines at the year old stage, possibly the best buy. I have always had Beta`s and tried GasGas and slated it when i first got it for build quality, but now eat my words as its the best and most reliable bike ive ever had. As for which is best then the answer is which is best for you? try them and buy only 250 as anything bigger would be akin to buying a Yam R1 for youre first road bike.
  15. I would wait as it will be only a few months and
  16. My 07 has gone the sameway after missing a wash only twice. I got some chrome paint from B&Q and cleaned the wheels and painted the nipples and you cant tell. I would next time buy lacker and paint the nipples prior to use to help protect them as ive mainly had beta which dont rust.
  17. The engine is still based on the 1994 Techno which is a tad on the heavy side.
  18. I prefer my bike rack to my old trailer as you can go into the outside lane and dont have to be doing 50 or 60.
  19. sounds like a white elephant.
  20. It will be the nut that holds the clutch basket on, as mine did the same.
  21. I would recommend Dulux soft sheen as its and nice shade of white and water proof. Also a match for the rear mudguard.
  22. What about Italjet, Armstrong, Garelli, Aprilia and CCM.My opinion is that Trials riding is less popular than in the 70s and 80s when it made national television and it was more widely known. Maybe this will bring China into the sport, as this maybe one day the only place available to ride due to are on going situation.
