  1. I purchased them in red size 8 with a best offer from Sandifords. Never seen them as cheap again. I like red but would if had the choice go for black as i had red then black Sidi`s and felt black looked better even when well worn.
  2. Ive had three pairs of Sidi boots and have recently purchased some Alpinestars. My Sidi`s were not as nice to wear as the Alpinestars and on Sidi`s the amount of stiching is unbeliveable, which comes undone. The soles on Sidi`s never gave any grip compared to Alpinestars. I think Sidi`s retail at
  3. If you buy a bike and any bike, by the very nature of the bike manufactor it will have issues, flaws. KTM what a S*@t as an enduro but its the best to ride. Ducati aaaaaaaaaa . Buy a race horse and win for a day, thats what i think if you look at it in realialty. Gas Gas is great to ride but is high maintenance. Beta for chris sake just silicone the fly wheel case up once a month and i never had an issue in 7 years. Trials bike on the whole require little work compared to other motor sports. An Enduro race would set you back near on
  4. Mine did this and i removed airbox then undone the middle exhaust bracket and put a thick waher to move the exhaust system out. I now dont suffer with this issue.
  5. Ive had 4 Beta Rev3 and never had issues with them other than carb set up. You can throw drop do what you want to a Beta and they take a good beating and still look ok. My friend swapped his Beta for a Scorpa and it was flimsy compared to the Beta. It once fell over on the stand and the gear selector went thorough the fly wheel case which looked to be 1mm thick, also the tank was easy to mark making it look tatty, then a fellow rider holed his tank on a rock at
  6. 16 inch bicycle tube is what you need slightly inflated.
  7. Mmmmm im gunna attach some pegs to the sole of me Alpinestars then.
  8. I think price of Gas Gas parts have a part to play. IE kickstart
  9. if they keep him i'll pay your entry at ughill Who`s been on the Carlsberg tonight ?
  10. Honda will keep him, as on a Beta two stroke he might still be a fret to them on the out door scene. Plus it would look crap for them if he went to Beta and achieved his 100th win.
  11. Take out teeth insurance and get a unicycle.
  12. Sounds like youve cooked the cilinder head gasket running with no water. Simple job if the head is not warped. God luck
  13. I is the woodrough key that as sheared so simple fix. Thanks for replies
  14. Well i have had Beta since 2001 and never had any real issues and done some decent trials scott and jackwood. I come home wash em and dump them in the garage. But i recently bought a Gas gas txt 300 07 and its a nightmare compared to the Beta. Handle bar clamps aren`t good chain its crap frame marks mono shock has play after 3 months in dry weather back wheel leaks air and today it broke down. I think it rides well but i would liken the build quality to an Indian pram at best. My 05 Beta was in better shape than me 3 month old Gasser.
  15. My txt 300 stopped today on a trial after running rough on bottom end then back fired and stopped. Im not getting any spark at the plug and all connections are good and dry so any ideas. My mates son has a 125 so is it possilbe to swap CDI units on 125 to a 300 to test.
  16. I had a poor copy years ago of a Beta promotion video i guess of Jordi Tarres on a Tr34 with back ground music Pet shop boys and Bruce Springsteen Cover me. I wonder if its available to purchase and does anyone know of it ?. I think he did one on a Tr32 as well.

    280 Or300

Sounds like the money is burning an hole in your pocket. If your on a low budget i would stay clear of 02 txt pro`s and get Beta rev3 around that age. If a gearbox or clutch works better when warm then its due to some wear or fault. The only thing better on a two stroke when warm is that they run cleaner any thing other is a future problem to come. If you rush in and buy like i have done in the past you will regret it only to see other bargins on the market. The scorpa will be hard work if you wish to try large climbs as you will have to really work the bike to get the best out of a little motor which you dont need when starting as a novice. I would in my opinion get a Beta rev3 as an 01 onwards will be cheap and built better than a txt with an engine and gearbox thats tried and tested.
  18. NO no swear at it til you are blue in the face and it works for me every time the night before a trial. Falling that i use a 16" bike tube and a foot pump with some washing up liquid and its a doddle. Also leave the tyre indoors to warm up and this helps in winter. I remember an article on trials action which was as funny as f*#k to fitting a tyre, one method i remember was to part fill tyre with gun powder remove valve insert fuse and start bike up on a stand and let idle in third then light fuse to blow tyre onto rim. Failing that reverse truck onto wheel to mash rim onto trye. Good luck.

    280 Or300

if your a novice then both will be to much to handle. I have a standard 300 with slow action throttle and its ok but the 280 is more lively which i never could get to grip i just seem to light up and spin. The 200 is nice if you are less than 13 stone followed by 250. The 02 will be trouble as its the first of txt pro`s 04 are about right from then on.
  20. Maybe its an xispa 1st attempt 07 perhaps.

    Rear Brake Lever

Its one of two things with beta the rear brake and the silencer and well the carb. I have a gasser and it rides well but is made like a pram from india. Hope the 08 is ok as i aspect me gasser to last not to long.
  22. I tried a mitas and that was poor compared to michelin x11 so if you want to just mess around its ok but not for comps.
  23. How much is the fly wheel weight as im thinking of purchasing one. I have got pro 300 which i like but think it my be better if the weight was added to tame the bottom end.

    Piston Slap

When cold my pro has some piston slap but is fine when running warm, if i were to replace the piston would the bore be ok and how much is the gas gas 280 pistons.
  25. Chill out thats the major cause of arm camp as you maybe gripping to hard to what you need to. I did some enduro and found it hit me then went after i relaxed within the sport.
