Yes my mate has a Cabby 305 2013 and its smooth almost a smooth as my Gasser 300 Racing. Very low on front end thats from coming me on a Gasser n friend on Evo 4t.
He looked into 290 n 305 and advised 305
-
My mates had Beta Evo 300 and they were amazing at gripping in all conditions. One of them had a Repsol 4rt n loved it.
Seems the trick is like Bou does, big revs then go n shut off n let over ride do the work.
On another note try riding 1st gear and not using clutch at all no finger over lever, we did this on sections where we were hill climbling in 2nd n 3rd and failling yet did it in 1st with no clutch did it easy. From this i try and us my clutch alot less n find loads more grip, nerving i grant it but works for us novices/ inters

Is it not a ACU requirement to have long sleeves. Was back in 90`s as a steward pulled me up in summer for wearing a tee shirt, so i borrowed a mates wool jumper.
Boots: Alpinestars no stop Black or White if your vain and a superstar.
Helmet: Airoh or Hebo
Clothing: Hebo, Clice, or Mots
This is only my opinion as there is Jitsie and many more. Mountain bike gear is often used as i have a very light weight breathable waterproof jacket
I wouldnt go with Motorcycle matching gear ie GasGas or Beta in case you change bike, as like me years ago bought it all new to find i hated the bike id bought. Fantic 245.

Flexible rear Fender as you might say
-
I would take walking poles for her as its like having four legs and the you carry the stick type pole.
Hope she enjoys it
-
I have a 2014 300 Racing and its amazing. I think its better than stock bike and im like you over 40 but is still makes a difference.
Ive PM you
-
Yes they make for awful trials as its boring and unsettling as pointed out, stall n game over. You need challenging sections so that if you five its possible to pull it back. I think a good trial should at least take a score of how many sections there is to ride ie 40 sections 40 score.
Ive gone to certain clubs and they have laid out trials far to easy and the rider numbers dropped off. I do the middle route or 50/50 and to step up to the hard route at Championship or Centre is too much
-
I cut the clamp down so it nipped up tighter and glue innertube on the inside then placed it higher in the middle. Also rerouted the brake hose as is ran inside the clutch hose holding it in.
I wouldnt normally bother but mine as the red forks.
-
They wont move with the weight of the bike on them, plus the bike wheels holds it in place. Just dont look back as you go over bumps scares the hell out of me
-
A rekluse clutch would be the ticket for you but i dont believe they make them for trials bikes.
Ive had GasGas 300 then went to GasGas 250 and finally back to GasGas 300 Racing and can honestly say the 300cc is way way smoother than the 250cc as the 250cc is snappy and the 300cc is constant power and not to much. The 300cc bikes i just put slow action throttle on and 10 tooth sprocket, however the 250 i did that and low compression head plus flywheel weight but it still was not as smooth as me current bike.
Ive been told asprin can help with arm pump not sure if this would help you but worth a shot.

Wow some great Pics in your Album. Takes me back to when i first began in 1982 on a Montesa 247 a 1971 with lipped rims. Then got a 1980 Ty175 only to see Tony Scarlett turn up at Steetley Quarry in 1983 or 1984 on a Ty250 Mono shock

Hi i often buy gloves from this company

I had sticking forks on a KTM EXC and that was down to me not setting them in the triple clamps correctly as above post. I loosed clamps slighlty and moved left to right whilst compressing forks, then tightened clamps only to find they were ok.
You could turn rebound off as they are usually turned right off on these forks to make them springy soft.
-
I had same issues with Hebo, found them to be horrible to wear, rubbing and they kind of got under my finger nails.
I have Clice, Mots Trials gloves and Alpine Stars, SixSix one Mountain Bike gloves to which none of them bother me like Hebo did. The Hebo gloves to me were very poor quality and didnt last very long

How about black chrome frame black wheels and white muguards n tank n black decals.
Im middle age i guess n bought a Gasser 300 racing. It was a great price and its better than stock bike, admittedly ill never out ride it but its way better than my standard 250 i had, plus someone has to buy new.
-
Just get a Gasser simples
-
Ive rode Beta 300 evo and its no where near as nice as my Gasser 300 racing. Everyone i know how as tried my bike is impressed how smooth it is they ride Beta 300 two stroke & Beta 300 4t.
-
I had a GasGas 300 07 loved it then 250 11 not impress very snappy now 300 14 racing and its ultra smooth. I find the 300 GasGas to be softer and more grip than a 250.
Dont rule out larger engines but this depends on model year etc.
3k should get 013 well used or mint 012.
-
G Form are really good thin as i use em MTB i never come off a trials bike
-
Fitness has nothing to do with what sport you pick as each sport demands differently, ie i do MTB in summer get back on a trials bike n knackered in 20 minutes.
Get a 250 as it will be easy as a beginner as you can tame it down and will server you as you get better removing the restrictions.
Buy a few year old bike as you can hammer it and loose little money until you progress.
As for lessons you will no doubt meet some friends at trials coms like minded.

I have use liquid metal with success.
