Another victim of Tong no doubt. Three riders I know have had top quality bikes stolen shortly after riding their

I had a 300 and I'm now on a 250. I've had to put a flywheel weight on the 250 as its snappy unlike the 300 full of soft bottom end grunt.
I would consider a 300 as you can tame them and again having ridden one again found it smoother than my 250. I have often found smaller engines snappy unlike larger engines, Sherco 290 was the only bike with to much power.

Lets make it twin shock and regress the sport totally. People who watch give or get involved MX is proof of this. However the back to good ole days is not going forward, its plain dumb to go backwards as thats the problem with the sport currently suck in time. Martin Lampkin gave us the great indoor trials and maybe he and Dougie should be the people the ACU should consult to promote the sport.
Non stop fine for the historical trials SSDT n Scott. Venues lend them selfs to this un like most.
-
Can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in sequins.
Maybe it's time trials broke away from ACU and create its own union that's sole interest is trials. Who decided on the new rules? Did riders have input as they seem against the new/ very old format.
-
Just a thought, would a rev3 barrel n piston fit as its the same lump 1994 - 2012, okay be it some upgrades.
-
Does it have black rims ?
-
Don't touch the throttle if starting from cold. Mine was a 2007.
Ring Gas Gas uk n speak to Kev
-
My old Gas Gas 300 was a bitch to start. I raised the float level and this fixed it. Remove carb and turn upside down, then measure 16mm from the base of the carb to the end tip of the float arms. Previous to this i could lay it on its side and it would flood then be able to start.
-
For years I've just put in tyre weld and never had any issues
-
Best thing I had was a rottie on a chain. Ex took him then bike got nicked.
Now make wife sleep in garage as me dog won't
-
What amazes me is people think its the rim. Surely an X11 would fail on the same rim or Dunlop
-
The problem is they are 4mm in diameter to large, so regardless to what you do it will fail every time it gets impact. My bike came with one on and held pressure until at trials, so i put X11 on it no issues now.
Shame as i liked IRC tyres.
-
Do you wear sovereigns n chains. ey i lovs me bling
-
No play as it was most likely seized. Need to remove wheel and turn bearings with fingers as they will turn and seem ok on the wheel, yet be shot.
I seem to get 6 months tops out of bearings due to jet washing. However I have removed the seal and replaced it so will clean n regrease
-
Looks like the norm for winter riding to me, why stop when youve started.
-
One change that is visual on the 07-08 models is the tank/frame is slimmer than 00-06 models, plus it has a bolt on cover on the tank unlike ealier models.
-
I reckon gasser 280 softer than 290 sherco. Raga will be fire breathing dragon
-
I have a 250 2011 and its very snappy compared to my last Gas gas 300 07 model. I have ridden 280 and 300 2011 and found them to be smoother than my 250, so much so i put a flywheel weight on and that has changed the bike no end, rest as stock.
Lots can be done on Gas gas to tame them right down. Head inserts, flywheel weight, slow action throttle, base gaskets, head gasket, Inlet gasket and exhaust pipe.
-
The new IRC is 4mm larger in diameter. A friend bought a new one n measured it against the old one and new X11.
Absolute rubbish about rims, X11 n Dunlop all are ok but IRC seat n stay up until you impact them. Dealer told me mate it would be ok on his rim yet he took it back as it went flat twice at a trial.
-
Fisher Trophy trial some years back he tried sneaking past the queue with little room, to his left the stream. Well his balance failed him and in he went head first into the cold January stream, came back up with helmet full of ice cold water, poor bugger but i had to bit my lip.
-
New IRC of late have been faulty so stay clear of em. Stick with X11 no trouble with them.
-
Wax oil all the stitching as they fall apart If not treated. I've had three pair of em n okayish but alpines way better as they are low on shin hence me scar
-
Have you undone the two 8 mm head bolts on each fork leg at the bottom, may have to remove disc cover.
-
Ah Is it that stinky crosser smell of the 80's. Not keen if that's it. Ipone smells equally bad
