  1. Sounds like the oil has leaked out of the shock and there is zero damping effect ....even with the shock set to minimum damping you shoul have some resistance on rebound
  2. Well Jim you tried to inform people but it looks like with some that they prefer to ignore your efforts.....shame really.....all that effort amounting to diddlee
  3. Don't forget to strip down the whole bike while youre at it .......I mean everything with that many hours on the bike the forks will need new damping cartridges new bushings and seals all the wheel bearings will need changing and have the hubs checked with dye under ultra violet for stress cracks ...any spokes and nipples that have corroded and are fused will need changing and the rims need checking for trueness and de stressing......better get a new rear shock as well; you do not want that collapsing with catastrophic results......the frame will need checking for stress and cracks..... if that fails youre really in it ...probably best to get a new one to be on the safe side....change the sump guard as well as a deformed one may lead to stress in the frame that leads to cracks in the motor casings.....the dog bones will need renewing and linkage bearings all replacing ....swing arm needs testing for cracks before that ends in some hapless spectators being maimed.......that things an accident waiting to happen. the gearbox will need replacing as well that will have taking a bashing over the years.
  4. You do realise that this is a video and you clic on the arrow in the center to see it .......you said that your clutch has 4 springs and you do not know why ....if you watch the video it tells you why................JHC
  5. ITS RUNNING FINE ............If it is running fine why does it need fixing. The owners manual says change once a year for the cylinder, cylinder head , piston and rings ....this seems a little excessive if for example you only used the bike twice in a year for approx. 8 hours.........I would go with just use it until the top end starts to make a noise and then have the cylinder nikasil plated and put a new piston and rings in .and con rod kit if it needed one of those aswell.https://youtu.be/rDgXeYlpbOE?t=2m58s

    Fork Oil

You have GasGas made copies of the 1994/95PAIOLI forks[if they are original] but with screw off fork seal caps instead of knock down ones. They take [as already said by lineway] 300cc of oil in both sides and the standard oil viscosity is 7.5W
  7. Why waste time debating something as cheap as buying a [Domino] fast action throttle.....its not possible for someone to tell you if you will prefer it or not its a totally personal thing...just buy it and see what you think ....if you don't like it go back to a slow action throttle.

    Fork Oil

If the forks are the early PAIOLI RSD type then the oil amounts are 330cc of 7.5W in the left side and 280cc of 5W in the right hand side.
  9. Perhaps Martyn's sponsor/team will only pay him/ supply a bike and help if he rides in the Trial 2 championship and he has had no offers that support him sufficiently financially to allow a comfortable attempt at the trial gp class.
  10. Yeah; but you have to admit looking out the window now and again is funn.
  11. Well to be seen as the suspected pederast and chimp mate of tc seems a little harsh but I've received worse comparisons.
  12. I see myself more as the Jean Paul Gaultier of tc but if you say so heres the rub https://youtu.be/3J6U7eGGoVg
  13. Yes the first SY's were sold in 1999 .....I remember reading the test in moto verde I think.... how quick time passes .
  14. Its basically a Scorpa/Sherco painted in Yamaha blue and branded a Yamaha; but only in Japan.... the connection between the two manufacturers of the French marque Scorpa and Yamaha goes back to around 2000 when Scorpa started to fit the Yamaha TYZ 250 and later the TTR 125 type and WR250F motors in their production trials bikes.I do not know what Yamaha have changed on the bike in the video as far as specs or if it is on sale to the general public but those are the basics.
  15. The Japanese have the same problem with the experts riding their white route [which is marked by red flags]....and look what its like now.https://youtu.be/C5z-ORjN6Tg
  16. In a past event I remember a rider using an enduro type machine.....cannot remember what year though.....more than 10 yrs ago.
  17. People ride the easier route when they are capable of riding a harder route because they want to ride but do not want to face the harder challenges that day or whenever[Too much booze the night before etc] ....if that becomes a regular occurrence and the section plotters start increasing the severity of the easier routes then that is wrong and defeats the whole purpose of different routes but the bulls always get what they want so it sounds like you either up your game or go to ride somewhere else that this does not happen.
  18. MITANI 315 rear mudguard from H&D racing is ready to fit if you cannot be bothered to cut a 4RT to suit.
  19. No need for change then as that is already how things are; there are dead easy trials and there are nationals and trials with usually 3 routes beginners easy and hard...I do not think there is anything wrong with trials [with exception to the no stop rule at world level ].the real problem is people not being happy about their own ability and how it fits into the way the sections at organised trials are laid out in their severity........if people do not enjoy the severity of any that are currently available then the answer is to go and set up your own club with like minded people ,find some land and and mark out the type of sections that you like to ride or you will never be satisfied.....if a person cannot ride the sections the only real answer is more practice/riding trials time....isn't that how a rider is able to ride increasingly more difficult sections.
  20. It has a mechanical clutch but is not in production at the moment so does not come with one.
  21. What you are asking of people is impossible as they cannot see your carburettor so that they can come up with a definitive answer on how to fix your problem ...bending the brass tab was not the thing to do really. What you need to do is make sure the floats float in petrol, and that the float valve tip is in good condition and there is no dirt between it and where it seats. If it worked ok before then there is a simple problem that lies in the fuel shut off valve parts of the carb.....Floats, Float arm and pivot pin and the fuel shut off valve that consists of two parts and the important float height .that completes the operation
  22. All results for many years of the trials world championships therefore have been incorrect and most clean rides should actually have been recorded as 5's.
  23. You better let them know that the observers are working with a different set of rules that fluctuate with the changing wind.....stopping is not stopping its just a new way of motion in Trial GP world. Like most things on this planet if you want to talk sense about something then head to the mental asylum where at least you will know that you will have a chance of hearing something that makes some sense.
