Cheers for the heads up - I will check it out.
-
Yes - I have put flywheel weight on and slow throttle and round the yard seems much softer - hopefully out on it tomorrow for the first time for a full tryout.
-
Crikey the 300 Beta I rode was as soft as anything compared to the other 300's - it certainly wont kill you.
-
Sounds promising - I have a slow throttle and a s3 flywheel weight to put on it at the weekend. Im 92kg - coming off an old 290 sherco too !

Dherbeymoto.fr seem to have a set of cables at half price

I have no problem with Axa in France. Good luck with the 300 Factory its a tad lively !! I tried a 300 beta and it felt like a 200 after my Scorpa 300 twenty.

Importance Of Proper Suspension Spring Rate And Setup ?
ftp replied to undertheoaks3's topic in General Trials Talk
I am about 200lbs 92kg and have just ordered a stiffer spring for the rear - I had the feeling that it sagged too low even fully wound up on preload and changed the rake too much - seemed to want to push wide or slide while hopping. I wonder if I am going to have to go to the trouble of front springs as well - although the front feels better. Its a 2015 scorpa 300. -
Yes I look forward to an independant review - before I spend money trying to soften my 300 scorpa I might just chop it in for a new 250 or 280 TRS if they get good reviews from mere mortals.

It's small change after other motorsports

Cheers - yep it is very quick right from the bottom - I watched a great young rider at S1 level on one and could see it was great for him , but it was my 2nd time out on it and first in the wet/mud and it made a t*^t out of me I have ordered an s3 flywheel weight and a slow throttle and see if I get along with either or both. Cheers

Thanks for your advice I think I will try the slow action throttle first - are they just a long twist or are they ramped ? Regarding the suspension - I have set the suspension set up with literally minimum damping in an effort to help me with hopping which is coming along really well as I have been working on that in the dry , but I was committed to riding in a practice/training day in the rain and mud and I didnt change the suspension for it and should have done I suppose. Im no newbie on a bike but am fairly new to trials, I am not sure how the damping effects grip ? Thanks Thanks again

I have a new to me 300 Scorpa twenty 2015 - (should have bought a 250 I know and will next time) But in the mean time I would like to take the edge off it at the bottom as I am not changing till 2017 m/y, I find it its very abrupt and much harder to find the grip in the mud/slime ( mud/slime yuk ) than I did with my old rather tired 2008 290 Sherco, which Isnt suprising. I have work to do and have not ridden it the wet very much so suppose things will improve with practice but would still like to soften it. There seems to be options of Throttle tubes Low compression head flywheel weight What the best place to start ? Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

Trials Trainer From A You Tube Video Clip 1993

They might help you concentrate on the timing of the hop and not have to concentrate on balance - then take em off to put the two together..... but probably just rubbish
