I'm sure it has to do with the 3 minute rule, and no spare bike! I be Cabestani wished they made a quick replacement, no bleed unit for entire rear suspension on his bike! LOL

Newbie On A Gg300 Looking For Help In The Snow!
mwtajimbo replied to floored's topic in General Trials Talk
Something I learned early on with the gas gas, is you really have to keep your weight back. The beta I could ride leaning forward in more of an attack position, but the gas gas would just spin. I had to learn to lean back, and slip the clutch big time. I also ride snowy sections in third gear and try to lug it a bit. -
If the radiator is aluminum, you can but aluminum oxide graphite into the crack and heat it slightly! Not much heat is needed. this will seal it right now. Used to do it on enduro bikes all the time. We would actually put the aluminum oxide graphite right into the radiator. It would find the leak and plug it. Like magic. Works good if it is a small leak. Big leak, sorry no luck this will not work.

this is no different than any other form of motorcycle racing, or competing. More power makes for more problems when you get in over your head. For the fact that more power will allow you the opportunity to ride obstacles your ability cannot handle. There are PLENTY of adults in the USA that should be riding 125 or 200 right now.

If you haven't ridden a 125 before, take the chance if it is offered to you. Spending only a short time on it, you realize how your technique needs to be just right for things to work well. You don't have the power to bail you out. It really makes you a better rider. Given a chance, I think this will be a great move for the up and coming group of kids.

WOW! You got a lot done after the Trial. I am doing good to drive home pull the truck in the garage, (with the dirty bike still in the back!) Go in and fall asleep in the recliner for an hour. Get up and shower, and go to bed! Take the bike to work on Monday, becuase your still too tired to unload on monday morning. LOL Oh and I make my own bubbles in the tub!

lower gearing and slow turn throttle tube is what the guys have done at our club. I believe most are running 10-44 gearing.

They are pretty close together time wise, and if I only have vacation and enough money to get my boy to one, Tennessee would win out?

All sports advance, look at supercross, going from the ski jump style 80's stadium courses to the 75 foot triples, step ups and step downs, Crazy technical feats. It is only natural for the sport to get more and more difficult as riders get better and better. Like AA said, it would get boring if you didn't get to see them do something more and more spectacular each time you watched. Freestyle moto is a perfect example, not even two years ago the back flip was all the rage, now a lone backflip in a routine won't even get you on the podium. I am all for the harder sections, each rider knows the risks and rewards of competing. People die riding the Isle of Mann TT and they don't quit racing there?

rolling your tire into a section and asking for a 5 is legal. blowing past it and not checking in with the observer is not and will get you the penalty.

You want to pick that person not only by there ability to ride, but by there ability to teach what they know. Some individuals who are highly talented make a lot of manuevers look easy becuase they don't have to think about it. to teach someone else, you need to know how and why you make a manuever. Example: Ryan Young's video shows how not only how well he rides, but also he knows how to break down a movement to better teach someone how to use it. I know Im not lane, but you know how opinions are: I would take Dougie or his Dad, no language barrier to overcome!

I thought the same thing about the flat tire, my son actually recorded the show, so we watched a couple more times, and I really don't think that tire was flat. I was still showing signs of life after she made that comment.

Don't get me wrong, I still carry my ama so I can compete in events. But, Your ama card doesn't gain you entrance to those events, you still pay entry fees, and I am not saying the ama is not out there fighting battles, I would just like to see them win one or two. I do believe there should be a special ama license for people who crash well though! I would have it for sure!
