  1. How are the older model Alpinestars soles for feeling the pegs, I bought a pair of Novogars, didn't really need a boot in a way but got tired of cooking my leg on the exhaust, anyway they fit good, lots of protection there if I needed it, soles are thick and stiff though, would probably last forever, just can't feel the pegs through them.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Yeah I keep reading that, I guess I'm trying to convince myself that's the route I want to go.
  4. Talking to somebody the other day about the differences between the older bikes and the newer models, the main thing I was told I would notice would be the difference in weight. So I was looking at Beta 125 factory dry weight 143 lbs, so I'm figuring by the time you add fluids, transmission oil, coolant, fuel, etc. you looking at another 6 or 7 lbs. so a bike around 150 ready to ride. I weighed my 11 year old Sherco gassed up ready to go, 164 lbs. Not that much difference, not sure I would notice it. Doesn't really seem like a whole lot of progress.

    Levers

Well ended up with Jitsie cold forged, they're shaped so where you grip the lever it's a little closer to the bar then I tweaked the brake lever a little so it was a little closer yet, worked great, didn't have to file the pins.
  6. I would enjoy seeing the pics, says "album is private"

Yeah something I need to do, previous owner has them tight.

    Levers

Thanks! I'll try that on the front brake master cylinder. Riding where I feel comfortable and have throttle control I feel like i'm riding the front brake a little and I'm maxed out on adjustment (I think)

    Levers

I like the idea of the cold forged ones, I call Monday see what they have in stock, they're closed today.

    Levers

Thanks for the reply, I've not seen those, I'll check them out.
  11. Newbie question, so I've gotta buy a new clutch lever, snapped the end off the one on the bike now. Thinking about replacing the brake lever too with one that's shaped so it's a little easier to reach with the one finger, not sure that would be the thing to do on the clutch side due to it not disengaging the clutch fully when it's pulled in, although I seem to have more free play on the clutch lever. Lot's of choices on levers, short, medium and longs, which is the best for someone with smaller hand. Thanks
  12. The Lewisport vertigo page says 250,280,125 soon http://www.lewisportusa.com/Sherco.htm
