I did get them because they were cheap, As i just needed to get some gear to start off with, better gear will come later if i feel i need it.

So much for people saying he was finished, as the OP said back in 2013 lol
-
Im looking at getting a decompressor fitted to my Beamish Suzuki.
Have seen pictures of a Beamish with it done.
anyone have any experience in doing this ?
thanks

Finally Got everything together.
One or two things different.
Yes the Cap fits, but you can no longer slide the fork leg out the top yoke, because its 37mm wide, So people will need to remove cap or file it down to 35mm.
Also the New valves are same thread and 14mm, but the part where the valve cap goes is shorter(pictures show that).
Only problem I found with that was checking the psi with my gauge, it lets the air out instead of reading it, as its not long enough to seat on the seal in the gauge.
At least its looks better now
-
The air cap came today, just need a new valve now
-
Anywhere around the notts area you can practice with out the cops turning up ?
-
Answered my own question lol

The Beamish Suzuki 531 frames are bronze welded
so the Armstrong maybe the same
-
I picked this Beamish up 2 weeks ago for £1650
-
making the clutch lighter is easy
you get a brake arm or an old gear lever(they have the same splinds as the clutch arm)
A lttle but of work bending it so it doesnt touch the casing and a small piece of steel or alloy to extend where the cable mounts to the casing
-
I was there watching. not in any of the pics sadly lol.
-
My great looking Beamish Suzuki 250
got it 2 weeks ago for £1650, it spent 25 years in a barn in bits, till the guy I bought it off restored her.
Once I have had some practice, I'm hoping to do a few trials.
