As i ride my trusty fantic full time in all modern trials including nationals I dont think i will upset to many of the purists out there.... maybe my old forks will end up turned down in the lathe and inserted into the legs of a pre 65 bike like yours..? My reason is simple I am too heavy for my tiring old forks, and once powder coated red the forks from a 1995 fantic section dont look out of place.. Its not like i am fitting a reed inducted motor from a newer 305/ 307 or fantic clubman. Scrumpy

Hi all,, i am about to fit the 40mm fantic section forks to my 300, keeping it drum braked of course, the only problem is the top yolk is in poor condition and i am having trouble finding a better one..! even ellastone dont have one, i could buy a new one or get the one i have repaired but i thought i would see if anyone could help me on here first, so plz pm me if you have one kicking about in the garage. Cheers: Scrumpy

Hi, does anyone have the dates for the lakes 2 day twinshock + pre 65 trial, and also their centenery 2 day trial (if its on this year),, i cant remember if its Cumberland motor club or westmoorland motor club, the clerk of the course is Robin Oliphant i think. I am just trying to make sure i dont book any work over the time of the trials.. thanks: Scrumpy

Now i thought the best way was to fit one or possibly two reed block spacers and also fit the longer front pipe to the exhaust...!!!! Or just buy a 200cc gasgas in the first place,,, if more clubman riders did this they would see vast improvements in their results :-) I love it when medioka riders go out and buy a 280 gasgas and then spend the rest of their time trying to keep hold of it through a section, and the rest of their money trying to calm it down...!! Am i right..? Scrumpy

Hi has anyone noticed a very nice ty80 whitehawk on evil bay.... seems too cheap, I remember when they used to sell a whitehawk kit that you added to your existing ty80 ,, they were very expensive as i seem to remember,,! i think it took the wheel size to 17" rear and 20" front,, correct me if i am wrong. Well Lee, Did you enjoy yourself at the Sun Inn?? was it wet enough for you..? It was sad news indeed that after the presentations Bill Pye announced that this year would be the last three day trial, the land owners are in there 80's and i guess its all getting a bit much.. (there wasnt a dry eye in the place) Thanks to Bill who has brought us many years of the best trialing for our old bikes, not many people understand how much work is involved in running this trial... the bracken has to be chopped down and work starts many weeks beforehand, and after the trial finishes there is still lots to do..! well done Bill, Rose and the team ps: It would be nice if another land owner would let us use their land maybe???? "just a thought" Scrumpy
