  2. Why does everything involving british motor sport manufacturing and just motor manufacturing go t*ts up ?? We still design most of the best motorsport designs in the world , but our manufacturing especially of standard motors do not exist anymore . No one has the boll**ks anymore . And not just in the motoring world ... Real shame for Ilmor and the British motor industry and public

Oooh !!! Been close to doing that over the past week a couple of times. But still not managed it .. Im Trying my best I am sure i will do it at The Jack Wood Trial at the weekend IF YOU DO MANAGE IT ON SUNDAY MAKE SURE ITS ON SECTION 14 MATE Boll*cks
  4. I take it you know where the air filter is ? Basically take it out i put loads of washing up liquid in/on it and wash it really well with a little luke warm water then rinse it out with luke warm water (If the water is hot it may shrink the filter) once you are happy that it is nice and clean let it dry out naturally. then get some air filter oil/spray and apply, I do this in a plastic bag and massage it in well. I do this everytime i have been out on the bike. Hope this helps a little.

Nice one . it just makes it slightly different to the other club members
  6. From what i have been informed is that if you are frpm USA then you will not have a fly wheel weight. so then a Fly wheel weight will help you along with a slow action throttle.
  7. The advise i was given, was that if the plug was oily black after running the bike in , was to lower the needle 1 notch and this should solve the problem.
  8. On my 04 mont . I used a G Clamp and ratchet strap to Get the Sump Guard back on . it took 5 mins max. Not sure if it is any harder to do a Beta ??

Try CV gaiter ties from an automotive store they are just like zip ties but made of stainless steel. Much neater and a lot thinner than jubilee clips. Nice one. I will have a look tomorrow.
  11. It happened to me on my 05. Every time i did a drop off over 4 ft they just snapped at the front . I bought a new one and same again. Called Lampkins and complained, so they sent me one for free. Guess what it happened again so i called them again, they then sent me one from the previous year and had no probs, but saying that shortly afterwards i did put 5mm spacers in.
  12. Lampkins and Pennine advisese 75 ml to 5 .
  13. A Lemon Its a cut and shut actually .. Front half is a Harley and the Rear is a Bandit .

Hello DP, very tasty looking bike if you don't mind me saying, how about getting the wheels done (not just saying cos i got mine done) ? Picture 1842: on the exhaust muffler you have a 250 sticker, was this the sticker meant for the swing arm? I'm thinking about a set of footpegs when the funds allow and was considering TrialCast pegs because they are cheaper than the raptors. The first wash of my bike i left it over night in the garage with a little water on the standard steel pegs the next day they had rust on them. Hi Spud, Thanks. I am thinking of having the wheels done, not yet but i am sure i will have them done soon. Yes you are right the sticker was ment for the swing arm. But as i have covered the swing arm with the carbon covers i had a spare sticker to put somewhere. as soon as i have washed my bike i always spray the footpegs with wd40 and none have rusted yet .
  16. From the commentary at the weekend, that is basically what they said. They chose to have a stable bike in the corners, and will work from there. So what i summised was that they turned the top end tap down for the race.. We will soon see in the following races. Can't wait.
  17. I will have to report this to the RSPTM (Royal Society of the Protection of Trials Motorcycles) That bike looks to have never ever been loved. Poor poor Scorpa. Once the Scorpa has been picked up by the RSPTM, they will try to find it a loving home that will rebuild and maintain it. But i think it is probably beyond repair and would probably be best to be euthanised

Obviously i put it on wrong on purpose, just to see if anyone noticed I am just a typical bloke. 1st thing to do when you get anything new is to throw the instructions away Thanks chaps !!

Not that i know of. I will check tomorrow .
  20. Top end speed is not the be all and end all. Just look how Rossi reeled him back in for most of the race after the straight and went by.. They said they want a neutral bike under braking and accelerating out of the corners. They will have to do a bit of something to improve the top end. They may limit it ?? i do not know . All we you have to do is look at the results over the last few years, and Yam , most of the time was on top. To be honest, its not a Retard question, no one knows the answer really, only Yam,Honda, Duke Etc
  21. He told me the same too .. Is it john that rides a 200 quite alot, if its not him, one of the Lamokins does..

  23. If a 250 is good enough for some of the best riders in Britain, then why should we feel the need for a 270 ?? I would say 250 everytime . Which ever you pick. have fun
  24. Plus a coating of clear laquer on the top .
