I'll probably have some more newbie questions as i go through the bike. ive already fitted a number 3 carb slide as there was a slight engine knock, hopefully this has been cured ( sounds ok just running up the lane where i live )

Evening Real newbie question here, ive just brought ( last week ) a 2013 GG 280 txt pro racing, whilst giving the bike a service today i noticed the oil was bubbling churning in the sight glass, is this normal ?? i filled with Putoline light gear oil, half way up the sight glass on level ground Thanks in advance Steve

Thanks again for everyone's input on further investigation, ive noticed theres a few hooked teeth on the rear sprocket, ( they were always covered by the chain when i checked before ) so ive ordered a new chain & sprocket set, should be here tomorrow Hopefully this is the problem ?? if not I'll try the higher octane fuel

Hi everyone i brought a 99 Techno 250 a couple of weeks ago as a starter bike to get into trials riding. Ive only ridden the bike on 2 occasions but what ive noticed is that there seems to be a knocking sound when the bike is under load ( pulling up hills ) At first i thought it might be the chain/sprockets but now i wonder if the timing is slightly out and the knocking sound might be pre ignition??? The bike runs and starts fine with no noises, just the knocking under load. i wondered if anyone had a manual with the relevant info or link to download a manual Thanks in advance Steve

Hi everyone, Totally new to trials at the grand old age of 50. ? i do ride on the road, currently running a 2017 Ktm Superduke 1290, but wanting to try trials riding for those colder wetter winter days. ive just brought an old 1999 Beta Techno 250 & have yet used it in anger, just pottered around the garden. So im now looking for local trials venues, i think the closest is Raydon pits, but need to find a phone number as to how to access etc ive got a fair few newbie questions, but will try to search the forum first, but you'll have to excuse me if i do ask commonly asked questions
